Vault 32... The Vault your ancestors where lucky enough to get to on the day the bombs fell. A thousand people made it into the Vault. Only people under 20 were allowed in. As with other Vaults, there were price limitations as well as other small requirements, though these people were all able to get in. By 2192, the population remained roughly about 1000 thanks to the strict laws set down by the the first Overseer, the rules he'd been given by Vault-Tec.

Once a person reaches the age of twenty within Vault 32 they are required to produce a child. Once the child is taken to be raised, the individual is forced to make their final decision. Which is either to leave the Vault forever and never return, or be 'sacrificed' to ensure the safety of the Vault forever more.

Vault 32 was one of the many Vaults used for the 'overstocking' experiment. In this case, it was overstocked with weaponry and ammunition of all types and sizes. Though it was supplied with a fitting sum of clothing, the simply insane number of weapons has not actually been counted since before the Great War, and as such not even the individuals within the Vault know how much they possess. Some doors still remain locked away, hiding possible treasure troves of unknown weapons.

Common Vault Inventory:

Clothing:

Protective Gear:

Unarmed:

Melee:

Guns:

Energy Weapons:

Explosives:

Listed here are the most commonly seen weapons within the Vault. While there are many other weapons not listed here, these listed are far from common - as such, if you wish to take certain weapons not listed as your personal weapon, you will need to run it by me first.

Description:
Weapon:

Background:

S.P.E.C.I.A.L.:

Help:

Family - No members of the Vault have ever known anyone above the age of 21. As such, no Vault dwellers really know who at least one of their parents are. Some 17 and 18 year olds have been mothers or fathers and as such have raised their children for a few years, but those often become distant memories. Sisters and brothers are not uncommon, and many twins actually exist within the Vault now.

Morals - Essentially a balance for the Karma system used in the games. Are you a good person? What do you fight for? Do you help push someone down, or stand when they have been pushed down?

Weapon - As per the laws of the Third Overseer, all people are given the chance to select one weapon from the thousands once they reach the age of ten. At this point, the children have been educated in basic aspects as well as weaponry, meaning this choice is far more well made than most would expect. This is the only weapon Vault Dwellers are allowed to possess unless under special circumstances. These are modified, repaired, and even loved, as they are the closest friend anyone in the Vault will ever know; they are the only object allowed to be carried with them, if the Dwellers chose to venture into the Wasteland at the age of 20.

Background - This is the same as usual, however you must remember that you've spent your whole life in the Vault. Your background consists almost entirely of exploring the Vault, using weapons, making friends, etc.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L: This is gonna be hard... Basically, this. SPECIAL defines your Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. Each skill only raises to 10. You are given 30 points to distribute. Check out the wiki to see what each trait effects.

Name: Abe Wolfe
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Family: Abe's father was Gideon Wolfe, who was the eldest of his parents by a year. His mother, Adele Majan, chose to give Abe to the caretakers before she was forced to leave. As such, Abe knows neither of his parents very well beyond their names. He is an only child.
Morals: Generally viewed as a good person, Abe is always open to helping friends and company if they need it, offering whatever he has to lend a hand. He tends to take care of the younger members of the Vault, especially as he's gotten older, and hopes that the people within the Vault will maintain their civil manners no matter what occurs. Generally, Abe believes that people should maintain equal ideals and actions, and should work together rather than against each other. He deeply feels that the freedom to do what one wants in the equal eyes of others is the most important thing Vault dwellers have.

Description: Abe stands at a rough 5'8" tall, weighing in at 146lbs, fairly average as far as the Vault goes. He has light skin, a strong jaw and pretty basic face - neither fair nor strong, just in the middle. He has shaggy unkempt hair and dark blue eyes, with broad shoulders and a noticeable lack of pronounced muscle.
Abe, like most older Vault dwellers, rarely wears the basic Vault jumpsuit anymore, instead using a set modified for combat situations in the wasteland that he'd inevitably be a part of. Though worn with patchwork, it maintains its usefulness. A combination of a pocketed utility jumpsuit and a combat ready security gloves, boots, and padding, it provides both protection and ease of use. Of course this is simply his prepared suit, and Abe has many other copies of the Vault jumpsuits.
Weapon: When Abe was given the choice of any weapon in the arsenal, he didn't need to look long before he found the weapon he desired. A beautiful, mint condition Hunting Revolver. Though only slightly modified, with a carbon fiber grip rather than the light wood and a match barrel mod, Abe has done everything in his power to keep it in top working order, and prides himself in his accuracy with it.

Personality: Quick to anger and hard to love, Abe is a nice but generally short sighted man. Though he has close ties to his friends, making new ties is quite hard for him, as he tends to just view everyone as the same kind of people - Vault dwellers, nothing more and nothing less. In many ways he believes he knows better than the young ones, or at the very least, believes he is capable of more, and views himself as a bit of a defender, though often gets confused when put in a situation of younger dwellers v. younger dwellers. Despite all of this, Abe is deeply rebellious - at least, when it comes to the opening of the Vault he is.
Background: Abe never really felt at home in the Vault. Of course, he lived in it, had friends in it, but something always seemed... wrong. Like there was something he was meant to be doing, and it wasn't in here. He loved guns, he loved his gun especially, and even on the G.O.A.T he achieved results needed for a Firearm Training Officer. He had a job, he had friends, and yet still everything felt wrong. He's never voted for the standing Overseer, always he's voted for change, and still nothing. Deep down, he hopes he can do something before life in the Vault finally nullifies him.

Name: Ike Micheals
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Family: Jacob Micheals and Beverly Green, his mother and father, were forced to make a child before they made their decisions. His father sacrificed himself for the vault and his mother left. Ike plans to follow his mother's footsteps when the times comes, maybe even try to find her. He took his father's name in remembrance of his "brave" sacrifice.
Morals: Ike will stay out of others' business mostly, for the reason he doesn't know the whole story. But if it's inherently evil he will intervene. However if someone did the same to him he would ignore or move them, not caring what they had to say. Sometimes he will steal if he knows he won't get caught. To wrap it up, he does what he thinks is best at the moment.

Description: Ike sports ear length, jet black hair. He already has hair appearing on his upper lip. He's 5'10 tall and weighs 170ish pounds. His body is clearly toned as his job calls for physical labor. He wears the Vault issued Utility Jumpsuit.
Weapon: Ike looked for a weapon that matched him, something that would define him. Unfortunately no such thing existed so he went for the closest thing like that. The Double Barrel Shotgun. Two legs, two arms, two barrels. And turned out he really enjoyed having it. The ammo capacity wasn't a problem he thought, if something survived a blast from this he was probably going to die.

Personality: Ike has a "laid backitude" despite his life in constant danger. However it is easy to provoke him due to his close temper and his fierce loyalty to friends. He's been in quite a few fights, some even physical for that reason. He may not show or say it but he loves having people around, even if he doesn't like them. Just so when the day his luck gets him killed there'll be witnesses.
Background: Ike, for as long as he could remember, has accidents every other day. It wasn't that bad at first. He'd slip randomly or have doors close before he got there. Kinda funny but no big deal. Until he got his weapon. Machines would malfunction and harm him, light bulbs would sometimes explode when he walked under them and his personal favorite: exposed gears getting hold of his shirt and nearly choking him to death. All of these incidents have made him used to pain and embarrassment, earning him the title "Tough as Nails". As of now he works as the Vault's handy man, fixing whatever needs fixing.

Name: Emily Davidson
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Family: Sarah Davidson and John B Davidson, she knows only their names as they both left the vault.
Morals: Generally good natured, Emily abhors violence preferring to solve her problems with words rather than with force. She is willing to help pretty much any body out and it generally is hard to get on her bad side. Emily is very friendly, seemingly always with a smile on her face. She always tries to see the good in every situation. Though friendly, Emily prefers to work with machines, fixing and repairing various bits of equipment within the vault, she is happiest when she is working alone and all is silent.

Description: 5'4 and weighs 116 lbs, she is slender framed with pale white skin that is often smudged by grime or oil from her work, Emily has long dark brown hair that falls down just shy of her shoulders, it is often in a pony tail though she hates putting it in one. Her eyes are a light blue. She wears a vault utility jumpsuit.
Weapon: 12.7mm Pistol is Emily's weapon of choice, powerful, accurate and it looks cool in her opinion. Though not one to be eager to use it in a fight, she would use it as a weapon of last resort should she have no other options left to her.

Personality: Emily is warm and friendly to just about everybody and willing to help out everyone. She is a gentle soul at heart not one who is eager to fight or use violence. Though friendly and sociable, Emily prefers to work alone on bits of vault tech machinery in the lower levels of the vault which is usually where she can be found.
Background: Though able to get on with everyone Emily found her true purpose in fixing the various machines in the vault, computers, robots, doors and doors mostly. She always liked to see people smile and found the best way to create smiles was to fix things. Though when it came to fixing things Emily preferred to be alone and surrounded with silence, in solitude she could work best.  It is generally in the lower levels away from everyone else that Emily could usually be found by her fellow Vault Dwellers, this is largely to the fact that she is fixing something or perhaps just taking it apart to see what makes it tick or because there is always something that needs fixing in the vault.

Name: Nadine Sanford
Age: 16
Gender: Female

Family: While barely remembering her parents, she and her twin sister, Natasha, were born a year before their parents left the vault.
Morals: Nadine believes in necessary evils. While she would not actively aim to achieve anything evil, if it were necessary in some way, she would deem it acceptable. She is generally a kind person, and such treats others, as long as she does not dislike them, in such a manner.
Description: Nadine stands about 5' 2", weighing 8st 9lbs. She prides herself in her appearance, as part of her public representation during this campaign of running for overseer. She has dirty blonde her, which is left just below shoulder length, as well as hazel eyes. Due to the lack of any requirement to do much physical work, Nadine is not the most physically fit, but is still in an acceptable condition.
Weapon: A simple Plasma defender, not particularly modified, but kept in a passable condition.

Personality: Nadine is in general a caring person, and is mostly pleasant. However, she is known to extremely dislike those who annoy her, or pose a threat to her political ideas. Other than that, she is quite persuasive, hence her decision to become involved in Vault Politics.
Background: Nadine was quite happy with Vault life, and found it quite to her taste. She grew up in the Vault with her sister, and life was generally easy, and enjoyable, and by the age of 16, she found herself attempting to take the position of Overseer in the Vault - and why not? She believed she could do it, and that was generally good enough for her.

Name: Nicholas “Old Man” or "that weird doctor guy" or "that weirdo"
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Family: Scientists, Artists, Doctors, pretty diverse people, and he knows none of them. So his friends are his family - which is why he has trouble “dating” any of them, because dating your sister is weird to him.
Morals: He’s pretty neutral, whatever is for the best of the community, or for himself.

Description: He’s a five foot ten bag of bones. he has rebellious hair, long and often unkempt, he frequently looks disheveled and has  stubble on his face. He’s got deep blue eyes with an eery gaze. He wears a lab coat, combat boots, and the vault jumper.

Weapon: Pew Pew motherfucker, Pew fucking Pew (Lazer pistol). Oh, and fists.

Personality: He’s like a stone. He’s calm, laid back, and patient. He’s also curious, very, very curious. He likes to know things, doesn’t matter what it is, from personal secrets to understanding how something works. There’s nothing that’s not interesting to him. Which is why he always says “That’s interesting.” He’s also quiet, a man of few words. If there wasn't already a definition of the word "loner" he'd be it.

Background: He's one of the vault medical doctors, and a scientist. He's also a jack of all trades, there isn't a job in the vault that he doesn't know how to do. Though he's not the best at any of them. He knows all your medical "secrets" and which foot you put in a sock first. He doesn't have many fr- he doesn't have any friends in the vault. He keeps to himself. Any scientific experiment he does he does alone, without the help of the other scientists. He frequently walks the least travelled corridors in the vault, for the silence. He also writes poetry in his terminal. He's also extremely lucky, doors never jam or breakdown when he's about to use them, and nothing has blown up in his face yet, but since not many people like him, or dislike him, no one notices these lucky things.

Vault Layout
(Will be updated as each area is explored)

Basic Layout

Dining Hall

The dining hall is the main area of the vault designated to eating and feasting on whatever rare occasion calls for it. Due to the size and purpose of Vault 32, there is only one dining hall in the entire Vault, and it is capable of seating up to 200 people when fully packed, though there is still space for people to stand. Due to the manners and styles of children and teenagers, it is rare even for these 200 seats to be taken up, and instead people tend to eat and utilise the room as they see fit.
At the head of the hall, below the large circular window that shows the Overseers office, is a large embedded table. Initially reserved for the Overseer and his council, they've started to dine in their personal chambers since 'hostilities' between the guards and citizens of the Vault have become more and more stagnant.

Connected to the dining hall are the kitchen are washing hall. Each is often manned by between five to ten Mister Handy's, preparing food or washing dirty plates as either need arises. A small chamber that leads from one room to the other is used to transport dirty and clean plates back and forth as the need is seen. Often times, kitchen hands and chefs are active as well to lend a hand with the cooking, though this tends to only occur on especially busy days.

Hallways lead off into three separate areas - two hallways lead to the upper living quarter, that links to the Overseers offices, labs, and living hall, while separate hallways lead to the security sector and robotics sector. These doors are locked and only accessible by members of the Security and Mechanics divisions of the Vault.

Living Area

The living area is where the major social aspect of the Vault comes into play. Seats, beanbags, mattresses, and all manner of relaxation tools are located within the main quarter, along with piles of Grognak the Barbarian, Tales From the Front, The Adventures of Captain Cosmos, and many many more comics and other exciting literary devices for the youths of the world to enjoy.

The living area is also fitted with eight speakers, one in the main four corners of the outer and inner layer of the living quarter. These often play radio tracks and, of course, informational updates on the states of the world and news within the Vault from the Overseer or their selected radio announcer.
Though there is little else in the quarter, it is noted for its many branching hallways, that all lead off to locked areas of the Vault. While the robotics area is accessible to the members of the Mechanics Division, only the highest level Security personnel are allowed access into the 'Security Offices'.

Sleeping Cells

The numerous sleeping cells of Vault 32 run in a ring around the Vault, each able to house 150 people in their multi levelled 'apartments' or as the residents call them, cells. When viewed from above or within, the blocks are normally quite bland. Same walls, same ceiling, same metal as the rest of the Vault. A few tables are normally found in the centre, along with couches and seats and even fridges sometimes, but overall very little is worthy of note, due to most residents utilising their time to turn their cells into very personal areas, decorating them with posters, trophies, and all manner of items.

Much like the living area, the cell blocks are fitted with speakers, one in each corner, amounting to four each, from which the disk jockey or Overseer can communicate to the people of the Vault. This is generally not common aside form music, though once a month, as always, the same speeches come through about the elections.

Most notable within the sleeping cells are the custom heating systems. Unlike the rest of the Vault, the heater within the block is controlled and powered by a built-in Robobrain, that accepts suggestions and calculates the most fitting temperature for the room, judging by the comments of the public. More often than not, this helps the residents sleep as well as needed, especially in weeks that follow an 'accidental' busting of the Vaults internal cooling system.

Name: Karen Davies
Age: 18
Gender: Female

Family: Her mother, Susan Davies, and father, Harry Davies, both left the vault a year after she was born. She has only seen pictures of them, and the only thing of theirs that she owns is a bracelet. She is an only child.
Morals: Karen believes that you should respect other people and only affect others in a negative way to protect your own life or the lives of others. In most circumstances, she is against petty crimes like theft, but will always disagree with serious crimes such as murder, though she does not see killing in defence as murder.
Description: Karen stands at 5'6", has sandy blonde hair that she keeps in a short pony-tail, and bright green eyes. She usually wears either a standard vault jumpsuit, Vault security armour or reinforced combat armour.
Weapon: Karen’s weapon is the Assault Carbine, equipped with extended magazines, chosen because of it’s high rate of fire and cheap, light weight ammunition.

Personality: Karen is a friendly and kind person, often going out of her way to help her fellow vault dwellers. As a member of the vault security, however, she is known for shooting first, asking questions later, behaviour that has made it unlikely she will receive further promotions.

Background Even as a younger child, Karen felt the need to protect people, and she enjoyed doing it. It was only natural, then, that the GOAT decided that she would go on to join the security force of the vault. At first, she tried to save everyone like she had wanted to, until her attempts at talking a criminal down ended in two deaths. Since, she has always been much less open for negotiations. She was promoted to Officer after she took control of a terrible situation and handled it successfully.
