Cyberpunk RP Character/Background Thread

Welcome the The Capital; the greatest city of humanity. Ruled from above by corrupt ministers and millionaire crime lords from the tops of skyscrapers and the insides of mansions, protected by walls and an army of private soldiers and androids. Outside of these gilded sanctuaries, the average citizen can enjoy a seemingly endless slum complete with a thriving black market of illegal human enhancements, weaponry, drugs and people, as well as gang-warfare, a corrupt, oppressive police force and terrorists of all shapes and sizes.

The city is divided into sectors, numbering from one to fifteen. While all sectors, aside from the first three, are poor, some sectors are more dangerous than others. For example, a citizen living in sector four could die without seeing any violence, whereas sectors thirteen and above are too violent for a constant police force to be maintained, and exist in a constant state of anarchy.

The City is run by three ministries, which are in charge of specific aspects of life. They are:
The Ministry of Protection - The Ministry of Protection (MoP) is in charge of the Police Force, and any anti-crime or terrorism units within The City.
The Ministry of Information - The Ministry of Information (MoI) is in charge of all broadcasting within The City, as well as all propaganda and censorship. They keep information on most citizens; only the rich or influential can afford to have this information removed.
The Ministry of Finance - The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is in charge of the economy of The City. It can issue and recall currency, and has the power to seize any private assets.

Equipment/Weapons: The fingers on Wraith's left hand can fire bullets after opening the small hatches at the tips. Its left forearm houses belts of machine gun rounds and its upper left arm houses rounds for its sniper rifle. As just stated, it owns one sniper rifle for long range encounters.
Upgrades/Cybernetics: Thermal vision capabilities built into its faceplate.
Bio:

"This one was built by Titor Preacher over the course of many years. In some ways, this one considers him as its father. He instilled in this one the sense of individuality and to not allow those in higher power to silence the masses. Perhaps this is why this one was created, to help end this oppression and to release the shackles the ministries have us on. This one has seen many corrupt happenings in its time, the first, most cruel thing this one witnessed was the Massacre. Soldiers of the MoP marched and opened fire into a large crowd of protesters. Titor Preacher was among those affected as he had lost his life that day. This one had already become a member of the Resistance in that time. This event sparked the Cleansing of those against the law. Known offenders were to be shot on sight by any member of the law, this one and many others held our ground in an abandoned underground network connecting the sectors. Most people stay away from this network due to the rumors swirling. This one was contacted at some point in its years and was told to infiltrate the MoP and to feed information. Due to this one's android nature, this one was able to gain access and become a member of this group. This one has spent years feeding information and trying to dismantle the strong arm of the ministries from the inside."

Appearance: Nathan stands at 5'10, with ice-blue eyes and sandy-blonde hair, kept in a buzzcut. His usual attire consists of black combat boots, pants and a dark coloured T-shirt.

Bio:
Born in sector 15, most of Nathan’s childhood was spent in constant danger; murder was a daily occurrence. At first he was well cared for, loved, and protected, though that was mostly by his father. At age five, his father was shot and killed while trying to protect him, and his mother pushed the blame onto him. If he hadn’t been there, his father would still be alive. After suffering years of physical and emotional abuse, aged eight, his mother eventually sold him to a human trafficker; who in turn sold him to an anonymous buyer, the Ministry of Protection.

His new owner made it very clear that if he did as he was instructed, he would be kept comfortable. If not, he would be punished. After months of psychological conditioning by the Ministry of Information, Nathan was moved into an apprenticeship with Lieutenant Katya Orlov; an MoP Covert Agent. She trained him constantly, drilling him in pistol and rifle marksmanship, as well as knife and unarmed CQC. Once Katya decided that his skills were good enough to enter the field, after four years of gruelling training, she started to take him on Operations. For three years, Nathan was trained in the field, as he learned how to apply his training while being taught how to deal with people.

After completing the final portion of his training, Nathan was officially activated for duty, aged fifteen. His jobs mainly consisted of removing ‘threats to the peace of The City’, though he was occasionally made to support standard police operations. One year later, and former-Lieutenant Katya Orlov was marked as a threat to the peace. After tracking her to a safe house in sector 15, Nathan had expected a fight, but was instead greeted with a smile. Katya, knowing that Nathan couldn’t disobey a direct order, left him with an address, ordering him to remember it, before breaking the cyanide capsule attached to her tooth.
Six months later, while undercover in a major crime family, the corrupt Head Minister of Protection sold Nathan’s identity, and that of several other undercover police agents, to one of his targets. Despite the betrayal, Nathan escaped, hiding in the safe house Katya had given him.  After successfully faking his own death in an explosion in sector 12, Nathan washed his hands of the Ministry of Protection, using several contacts of Katya’s to find ‘Mercenary’ work.

Age: 23

Appearance: A relatively average sized man, Joseph is characterised by his thinnish face, large eyes and thin lips often drawn into a slight frown. Black of hair.

Bio: Joseph was born in one of the more industrial sectors of the city, to religious parents. He had five siblings, but suffered at an early age to lung issues. Despite this, during schooling, he was one of the more successful speakers in his class and could often go on long tirades about the world he saw around him. After coming of age, he found work as a tutor and a journalist, featuring often in the local newspapers, under the watchful eye of the MoI. When he found the work no longer fitting, he took the money he had saved and began trying to write his own books, though he could not find a stance to take on the world that he knew the MoI would publish, and so he has not sold a copy to date.
