The year is 2025, and the current world situation is bleak. A second great depression has slowly been tightening a noose around the neck of the world, though the populace do not notice it. The police force has largely been militarised, any who might have dissented long since removed and the entire system of law and justice corrupted to the core. Drugs, guns and alcohol run freely through the streets, the police force paid not to notice it. All profitable business has been taken over by various groups, each one affiliated with one of the seven rival families of Vampires.

The Strigoi, a bloodthirsty, and ruthless Vampire mafia, originating in Russia. They brutally protect their business interests, which mainly involves weapon smuggling.
Santa Sangre are just as ruthless as the Strigoi, relying on the sheer brutality of their attacks to terrify their enemies into submission. They control the majority of the Mexican cartels, and the drugs trade.
Del Priore are far more civilised than their competitors; business is business. Personal affairs don’t come into that. Exceedingly professional in all of their ventures, Del Priore have a piece of almost all crime, but have a monopoly on protection and prostitution.
Nox Domini are one of the oldest Vampire families. Despite their reverence of their traditions, they own and control almost all of the most popular bars, clubs and party locations. They maintain their own drugs trade, mainly supplying ‘party drugs’ for their various clubs. The have influence over politics and public opinion, thanks to their control of the night life, mostly through blackmailing politicians and celebrities.
Nosferatu is another of the oldest families; with nobody sure which clan is older, Nosferatu or Nox Domini. Nosferatu exert a large amount of control over politics, with many leader candidates being nothing more than their thralls. They are the most hidden from sight, acting only from the shadows.

While the families rarely allign on anything, the only rule they all fully support is that of secrecy; mortals are not to find out about the families. The punishment for breaking the rule is death.

You have arrived in Boston with the head of your family, to attend a meeting between Nox Domini, Santa Sangre, Del Priore and The Strigoi, to discuss how to deal with threat that the Nosferatu poses to all of your families.

By the whims of Nox Domini's progenitor, she was saved from the abyss and embraced, becoming an unholy creature of the night. Name: Jonathan Knight

Sex: Male

Age: 950

Family: Del Priore

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Biography: Born in 1075 to a middle-class English family, Jonathon grew up with a fair chance at life. He was trained in arms and armour from a young age and when Pope Urban II called for the first Holy Crusade, Jonathan joined the war. He was cut down just outside of Antioch in the battle against Kerbogha. A wandering vampire found him barely alive on the battlefield long afterwards and decided to spare his life by granting him the gift. Jonathan has since always been a part of Del Priore, as it was a Del Priore vampire that saved him. He went on to fight in nearly every Crusade over the next three hundred years.

Name: Juuzo Tsai
Sex: Male
Age: 500 (Est.)
Family: Nosferatu
Appearance:
Spoiler:
Biography: Juuzo was born in 1560 to a Duchess in Britain, he lived a relatively solitary childhood. His Mother was very protective of him and rarely allowed even her servants to have contact with him. Years later in his early 20's, a Land baron had his family slandered so he could take their estate. Wanting to ruin the Duchess he played her son off to be insane and had him locked in an asylum.
Soon after he was bitten by a starving Vampire, luckily (or unluckily) the Vampire was pried off of him and Juuzo was chucked back in his cell. Soon the change into a vampire began and alone and confused he suffered the agonising process of becoming one, though in his transformation he finally snapped and lost his mind. Weeks later in a fit of starvation and rage, he feasted his way out of the asylum, not to be seen again until a Nosferatu boss found him, hiding in an alleyway about 400 years later.

At this point all he knew was hunger and savagery. The boss seeing him as an opportunity to mold him into the perfect killer took him in and reshaped him. Giving him the name Juuzo and imprinting in him that no one else was to be trusted.

Biography: Truthfully, not the oldest vampire. I've no recollection of the time when I was turned - it was so long ago. I came to America in the early 20's, the 1920's, to pursue a medical carrier. Technology and education finally caught up to my interests so I moved myself from Germany over to Chicago. An excellent decision in retrospect - With the unfortunate wars and political unrest. I would have probably been found out by the Nazi's. Those poor Jews. Before all that I was a scholar, or rather, I still am, just not actively pursuing knowledge. Over the yearsI've seen the rise and fall of these "families", lineages of vampires. I'd probably have belonged to one if I had been been in the modern day. Nox Domini - a roman title, "Night of the Master", probably supposed to be "Masters of the Night", which would be "Domini Noctis". Unless - I'm digressing. Nosferatu - Romanian in origin, "The insufferable one" indeed. They weren't around when I was bitten. Not that I recall. Strigoi, Santa Sangre, Del Priore. Clever names - Strigoi is a Russian family, also probably originating from Romania - "Evil spirits or hags" indeed. Del Priore, italian, and therefore latin in origin, "prior". Perhaps they are saying they were first? I don't know. Santa Sangre, I think is Spanish for "holy blood", a very vampiric name. Since blood is our sustenance. Though humans have rarely considered food to be holy, and if your name is holy blood, would that imply you think of your food as holy? Interesting to think about. Oh, have I not told you about myself enough? Well, it seems we are out of time, so, goodbye.
