Forumotion News and Updates

Two things, (1) the technicians at Forumotion have put together some code that would allow us to implement "avatars" or "profile pictures" into the Chatbox. This isn't very hard to do and is really only cosmetic. (2) We now have the ability to tag users on the site using the "@" button. e.g. @Razgriz, this would essentially function just like how it does on Facebook and Twitter - only this would only effect users on this site.  

Pros and Cons for the Avatars in chat
Pro: It would look neat
Con: it might glitch the chat for some users
Con: it might not load properly on some computers
Con: it's extra data for computers to process - might cause chat lag

What do you think?

Keep avatars off the chat, god knows we have enough issues with it as is.

Tagging is good though

Added tagging. 

Now you tag other users and Keywords.

Seems to have done something, although I didn't get any kind of special notification

Apparently you can follow specific tags via your Profile. So if you'd follow that tag, you'd get notifications from it.

So

>Profile
>Notifications
>>> Basically enables you to receive notifications about tags. 
-or-
>Tags 

You can type in a tag to follow, like #subject or #name whatever.
