Modern War

The year is 2014 and you are part of a platoon from the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division. Inside this platoon are three ten man squads who can further divide into six five man fire teams. Attached to the platoon is a squad sent from the British forces in the local area. You've been assigned to a simple outpost in the middle of bum-fuck-nowhere and most of your days consisted of sitting around with your thumb up your ass. That is at least, until today.

Name: Charles Frank

Appearance: A large man with a heavy set jaw and shallow eyes. His nose is slightly bulbous and bears the marks of a few scars. Blue of hair and black of hair.
Short bio: Charles was a typical average American kid for most of his life. He grew up in the declining Middle class of America and when he hit 23 and found himself out of work for the fourth time in his life, he decided that the Army was the best thing for him. He has since served one tour in Iraq as a peacekeeping force and is now deployed in the current armed conflict in Afghanistan.

Appearance: Medium build, stands 6 feet tall, clean shaven and well managed, conservative hair. Black framed glasses and a minor scar on the left side of face.

Short bio: After getting his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University he managed to get an Airborne OCS contract with the Army in attempt to pay off some of his student loans. Always kept on his duties and tries to lead by example. Will never ask soldiers to do something he wouldn't or has already not done himself. Not yet combat experienced, but studies frequently about the current conflict and methods of the militants. Terrified, but would never let anyone know it.

Name: Jamie Knight

Appearance: Very average looking with Neatly cut, sandy brown hair and pale blue eyes.

Short bio: Growing up, Jamie was frequently described as "Smart, but lazy". He graduated with above-average grades, but found himself not knowing what he wanted to do with his life. Unable to find a job, he joined the Army.

Name:  Maxwell "Max" Rigby

Age: 22
Appearance: Average build at six-feet tall. Max keeps his brown hair completely shaved as often as he can.  His eyes are a grey-blue and he has one distinguishing scar that runs down his right cheek.

Short bio:  Max grew up working his whole life and with no interest in attending college he joined up with the army.  He's only been under fire one other time and it was a friendly-fire incident that was resolved within a ten-minute period with no casualties.

Appearance: Ryan is a man of lanky build yet not too much to look out of place, his hair short and brown with matching eyes.
Short bio: Ryan was born into a Military family, While he himself was not so much appalled by the idea of continuing the family business of joining the army. He did not have much choice and upon coming of age was conscripted in.

Appearance: SSGT. Weiss is a broad figure, he is tall, and usually towers above those around him. His hair is perfectly trimmed into a high and tight haircut, and is dark black with patches of grey now appearing in it due to his age. He has light stubble growing on his face, and his light blue eyes seem to stand out from his rugged and worn face.

Short bio: Throughout his life he attended various military academies, and took classes on leadership. His father taught him to fire a gun when he was six years old, and since then he has grown to be a superb marksman. But his uppers told him, for a man of his build, they didn't want him sniping from a distance, but they wanted him to be IN the fight.
