Chapter 8 NAME "Shit Happens" Part 4

=The guard fired the stunner again, this time at full power, which for the record, also means that it had more kick to it. The shot blew the prisoner back, and he impacted against the wall=

*Guard*
We can do this all day. You can save yourself a lot of trouble, if you just come with us, and get in your cells.


*Lt. Tucker*
Halt! Identify yourselves!
=he barked at the advancing Elites=

=Aebeir picked himself up off the floor. He stood for a moment in recovery from the blast=

A- Never give in. Never surrender. Troopers, on me!

=They rushed forward and began attacking the guards. Aebeir punched the one who shot his square in the face. The others each engaged a separate guard=

=While four of the guards were busy, the remaining guards aimed their weapons, using pinpoint targeting on their weapons. They each fired off one shot, in a non-life threatening area of the prisoners bodies. Some shots hit their shoulders, others their legs. One of the guards called for backup=

Xzan was stopped by the Human. He scanned his body and his inventory. Xzan smiled and ran towards the Human grappling the Human by the neck. He could hear many weapons getting loaded from around him, he looked around before gently putting him down.

" I do not answer to you human, nor your petty guards!"

Xzan was growing tired of this human, and wanted an explanation quickly!

*Lt. Tucker*
=he took in a breath as the pressure around his windpipe was removed. First those crazy ass republic guys, and now this. When was he going to catch a break?=
Get back, now. Or we will fire.

=They each took a shot somewhere, but it was once they saw Dex's arm get taken off that they stopped. Dex fell to the floor, and the others rushed over to him. Aebeir and Fable lifted him off the floor and brought him to the other side of the room from the guards, while Lord stood in front of the guards, screaming in the center one's face=

L- You want a fight!? Do you, tough guy!? Drop that weapon and we'll see how well you fare!! Go on, big man! Or dont you have the balls for it!? You make me sick! If i had my blaster I'd shoot you right in your smug pussy face!!!

A- Enough, Lord! Save it for the battlefield!

=Lord looked back to the other three and walked over to them, helping hold Dex while Fable tried to stop the bleeding with his shirt. Dex was starting to lose consciousness from the blood loss=

*Guard*
Get a med team in here, now!
=the guards walked over to the prisoners=

We'll take care of him. Now: Get the fuck to your cells, or we will kill you.

Xzan laughed at this human's order, he knew his shields would withstand anything they threw at them, but he looked at his soldiers, who would not.

"I honor your request for my warriors. Now what do you want?"

*Lt. Tucker*
=before he spoke, a message came in from the Sentinel. This Elite wanted to know where they were=
How about this: A simple exchange of honest answers. I tell you where you are, you tell me who you are. Does that sound fair?


=A medical team entered the stasis chamber a minute later. They would have moved closer to the wounded man, but they were wary of the other prisoners=

=Aebeir stood and was quick to respond=

A- I dont know what the hell kind of alien cocksuckers you are, but you certainly are not, i repeat, NOT, taking my comrades anywhere while i live to do something about it. From what we've seen so far of your kind, you'll probably try to feed him his own innards. I'd certainly, however, love to put a blaster bolt right into your head. But since thats not likely to happen anytime soon, maybe we can be civil. You understand the word, dont you? Civil? Now, if you'd be so kind as to tell us where the fuck we are, and how we got here, we might be a little less tempted to bash your head in and find our way home ourselves. Do you understand what im saying, or shall i draw you a picture?

*Guard*
=he sighed=
of course we know how to be civil, yet we have seen none of that from you. You threaten us, attack us, and only when you are on the ground, wounded, do you complain.

Xzan admired this human's courage, and knew he was not going to give up. He thought about the proposition and decided to take it.

"I am Imperial Admiral Xzan 'Jar Tamasee of the Crusading Spirit Fleet. Now where am I?"

*Lt. Tucker*
Thank you Admiral. You are on Haven, a Forerunner Shield World. Our home.
=most of the soldiers relaxed a little, though they still had their weapons ready, should the need arise=

Xzan relaxed a little too. He saw the Humans relaxing. He still hated the humans very much so.

"Now stand aside. If not for this interuption this Planet would have already been glassed!"

A- You send Droids and armed men after us and take us prisoner after we crash land on an alien world that isnt even in our own fucking galaxy!!! I assure you, Sgt asshole, that if you and your people had handled things with a little less weaponry and perhaps with a traditional "Hello, what are you doing here?", we might not have gotten into this mess to begin with!

=He looks back to Dex=

A- Hey Dex. Didnt you say you send an open distress call when we landed?

D- Yes, sir...

A- Great.

=He turns back to the guard=

A- Now, i suggest you either fix this shit, or pray to whatever alien gods you have that our leaders dont catch a whiff of this, or rest assured that you will have to royally un-fuck yourself before the might of the Republic tears off your head and shoves it back up your ass where it belongs! Now are you going to let us talk to someone less prone to welcoming lost soldiers with gunfire or not!?

*Lt. Tucker*
=he chuckled a little=
Admiral, we've already pushed back a Covenant fleet. We can take care of ourselves. Now, if you don't mind, may I ask what it is you will do now? You're ship is in ruins after all.


*Guard*
Those 'droids' as you call them, were sent to investigate the crash site of your ship. You, opened fire on them, as well as the men that were sent to greet you. You were given the opportunity to surrender, regardless of your training, and yet you still attacked, killing most of those men. After all that, why do you think you deserve any special treatment?

"What I plan to do is really none of your business, but if you must know, I plan to glass this Planet, and burn the symbol, Faith into its surface!"

Xzan was growing tired and was getting impatient with the current situation.

"Well, what do you make of my scheme?"

*Lt. Tucker*
=he was silent for a moment, then raised his hand. All the soldiers there raised their weapons=
I think that if that is the case, then it would be in our best interests to kill you now.

A- I dont think you quite hear what im saying. I dont know about where you come from, but where we live, Droids are built to kill humans like us. We see droids after being launched apparently t another galaxy and landing on an alien world, and them being told by armed men to surrender our weapons, what are we supposed to think? Certainly not that you're willing to let us go home, much less help.


=About an hour before, an 808th cargo ship on its way to bring a load of goods to the Obsidian Wolf intercepted a distress signal, detailing the journey of soldiers from another galaxy into ours, and how they had been discovered and attacked by Humans. They continued on their way, and upon reaching the Wolf, reported the signal to the Military. An officer brought the news to the main XNNO council, just as Alpha was arriving from her mission to the Di-lumnis belt. They debated about the matter for a while. Meanwhile, Sigma's parallel project to Delta was finally completed. He woke up, and looked around the room, recognizing it as Sigma's lab. He spoke to the medical officer present, and was put through a brief check of his health and functionality. He was given his weapons and armor, and directed to the council=

Xzan thought this through, and saw that the situation was most unsatisfactory, and he became unhappy quickly, but thought of an interesting thing to say.

"We honor death human, but I value my warriors lives. You let me go I continue to glass your world, you decide to attack me then I fall trying, either way I am a hero!"

Xzan walked foward to the human until only a few centimeters seperated them.

"So what is your choice human?"

*Guard*
Fine, fine! Ignoring everything else that has happened......your friend is on the ground, bleeding, his arm severed. We're offering to heal him. And your arguing.


*Lt. Tucker*
=he was about to speak, when a call came in from Alpha Base=


(Jason)
=I had been watching and listening through the vid feed on Tucker's armor, as per protocol. I commed him=
Tucker, invite our guests back here. let's try an avoid what happened with those Republic guys. Perhaps we can negotiate.

*Lt. Tucker*
Understood sir. Admiral, our commander has ordered that we escort you back to our command. He wishes to speak with you, negotiate if possible.

"We do not negotiate with humans, but I shall accept this invitation of yours"

Xzan smiled as he had a cunning plan up his sleeve, but realistically he was going to listen to what he had to say, if he did not agree his plan would work. He lifted up his hand and signalled for his warriors to follow him. They did so and they followed the human.

=they all loaded up onto the transports, though the soldiers still had their weapons drawn, aimed at the Elites in case any of them tried anything. The transports lifted off the ground, and headed for Alpha Base=

A- Thank you, Alien.

=Fable and Lord picked Dex up off the floor and helped him walk as they went over to the Guards. Aebeir followed close behind=



=Xazhi was greeted by the council warmly. He inquired about why he was brought back, and Sigma gave him the general story. After Delta killed him on the Azure Comet, and before his funeral, he had dumped his brain into a data chip, and put into it specific orders to bring him back in the event of his death to serve in his place. To this, he chuckled. They continued conversing about what to do in regards to the report of soldiers from another galaxy. Sigma wanted to study them and their technology. Xazhi agreed that if they could be convinced, they could become a great ally. Beta was reluctant, and Giga was against the idea. It was Alpha who had the final vote, and she favored with Sigma. They started to form a plan for this=

They had arrived at what the human called Alpha Base. They were forced out of the Transport as if they were Prisoners. He had to take it all in, it was huge, although very grubby and cheaply placed.

"This is what you call a Base. This is utter rubbish. 'Tis an insult to bring me here!"

The humans there looked very angry, to which he smiled.

=The medical team went to the wounded prisoner, while the guards guided the others to their cells=

*Guard*
Okay, we'll just guide you to your cells. After that, I think our boss will want to speak with you guys.

(Jason)
=I waited at the landing zone for the transports wearing the Combat Skin. I heard the insult the Elite gave=
Then by all means, return to that wreck we found you in.

The Admiral strode straight upto the Human, his Minors stopped him, and then he remembered his place.

"If not for those Jiralhanae Cruisers, I would have glassed this entire Planet!"

Xzan straightened himself up and stood ready, for this pathetic human to throw another insult at him.

(Jason)
Really? One ship, against an entire fleet? True, we didn't see you until you had crashed, but we've been a little busy lately.
=I held out my hand=

Jason Shepard. I'm the commander of the military on Haven, and truth be told, I don't rake threats to my people lightly. I suggest you relax.

Xzan looked at his hand and fixed gazes with the human.

"Let me explain, you seem a little slow. I was getting in position to evaluate the situation. Then the rest of my fleet, including my Supercarrier were going to jump slip-space and assist with the glassing. Then I would go to my Supercarrier and initiate the cleansing beam"

Xzan stood amuzed by the human's lack of knowledge.

=Aebeir and the others waited anxiously for Dex to return, for their chance to speak with the leader of their new enemy=



=The Sethalii efforts had grown, and their project was advancing at an extreme rate, much faster than predicted. With all three planets doing everything they could, and the Shipyard filled with more workers that it was ever designed to hold, the project was predicted to be finished within days. They had already been working for a week, and things had gone on without an error since=

(Just to clerify, this project began in that period of time when i was barely on the site for like a week, pretty much directly after Delta's death and the XNNO's return to the OW from Haven. So thats when that post was supposed to take place)

The Human who was their Commander, did not say anything for awhile which left the Admiral happy. He seemed to be speaking with his troops, which left them waiting anxiously.

"Well, is that okay now that I have explained it to you. For an advanced race such as yourself you are not very smart are you?"

The Human sat there, still waiting and watching him.

"What is going on. I demand an answer?"


The Minor Uska Vernasee stood there, quite scared about the situation. It was okay for the Admiral, who had four overshields, but not for him as he had only one, and that was below the normal average.

Uska stared at the humans, like he was fierce although he was actually quite scared.

=I arrived at Alpha Base, waiting to hear from Jason=

(Jason)
=I sighed. I hated arrogant ass wipes like these, who believed that simply because they used pretty words and sentences, or because of their position, it gave them the right to insult others=
Let me tell you this right now, Sangheili: Keep insulting me and my people, and I will take offense. We've already had a long, trying few days, and my patience is wearing thin.

[A few days later]

The mysterious patient in wing 142, in room number 183, disappeared. Not a trace of him was found. No sight or sign of his leaving, only the imprint in the bed where hey once lay. The doctors discovered this when they went in to check on him. They came to an empty room, with the window still closed and locked, and all of his belongings gone. Not even a DNA scan detected anything from where he once lay. He simply mysteriously disappeared. They had no one to contact, since he was not one of the refugees, and they couldn't ask one of the medical teams from the ship that they heard about, because they left too, though not as mysteriously. All that they had left of him were the recordings and the doctors notes on him.

They didn't bother with contacting anybody about his disappearance. They simply wrote it down in the file they had been creating on him. It would be forever, their one never solved, mysterious case, of the man who disrupted energy flow. That was that, they went back to their other patients. However, from time to time, when they were off duty, they would drink and talk about the mysterious case, it was the one thing that fascinated the hospital most.

(Miranda)
=I had been in the Arena for hours now, pushing myself to limits I didn't even know I had. I moved on from slicing holo-targets, to dodging, rolling, and going toe to toe with targets that were more solid. The hard light wasn't perfect --it was meant to be more stable, like a wall or floor-- but it did it's job of offering some resistance. The dummy Sentinels though, were my bigger concern, even if they couldn't really kill me. They would perform strafing runs on me, swooping down at my sides and rear=

Xzan stood there in amuzement.

"Good, that is what I hope you take, if anything from this experiance!"

The Commander shook his head and he stood there doing nothing again.

"So, are we going to stand here all day, or get down to business human?"

(Rover! Yet again, another one!)

=The Falcon took off, bullets pinging off of the outer armour of the Falcon. I was pretty sure the Pilot wasn't going to try and trick me, because well, he had his life to look forward to. The same, however, could not be said for my target, after the end of all this confusion.=

*Pilot*: So... Why you do you want to follow the Warthogs anyway?

Rover: Just fly.

*Pilot*: Fine...

=Soon, the Falcon reached about ten metres away from the Warthog. It began to fly closer, until...=

Rover: Are those fucking rockets?!

*Pilot*: Oh shit. Looks like they got the warning.

=The rockets left their pod, and began to swim through the air towards the falcon.=

*Pilot*: Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! Popping flares!

=A mass of flares left the falcon, as so did the missiles aiming for it.=

Rover: Fuck! Another batch!

*Pilot* I'm outta flares!

Rover: Just one fucking flare set?!

*Pilot*: Well, they dont really care about the vehicles!

=The Falcon attempted to dodge the Missiles. It flew up and down, flying past the vehicles a couple of times, but sooner or later, it was going to happen, and they did hit the Falcon. It burst out in flames, the Pilot attempting to control it. It span faster and faster, until... BAM! It smashed right into one of the Warthogs.=

=Just over a week after the project's start, cheers erupted from the Spacedock Shipyard. The Sethalii were very proud of their work. The new ship was bigger, stronger, and more powerful than it was. They had rebuilt the great vessel with the combined efforts of three worlds in less than two weeks. It was a great acheivement for them all. The new ship was three miles longer than it was. It's hull was more durable and made of stronger, more up-to-date materials. The internal systems were built seperate from eachother so that they could each funtion a full power without sacrificing another system. The shielding was constructed using the most state of the art XNNO technology. They had fixed the previous issues with the Hellfire cannon as well. The bombs could be loaded and unloaded with rather ease, and the bomb bay itself was very well protected. The interior was still the dark grey it was, with thin strips of red light in the floors, walls, and ceiling, which served mainly as decoration, similar to Covenant ships. The ship was given the color of white, secondary Maroon to match the armor colors of its soldiers and crew. Finally, on each side of the ship in great red lettering was her name=



=A crew of Sethalii just big enough to maintain and pilot the ship boarded for the maiden voyage to the Obsidian Wolf. As it slowly pulled out of the yard, the people of all three worlds looked on, cheering. Once it was far enough away from the construct, it opened a portal, and jumped to slipspace. The crew of the station began shutting it down again, its many colors of lights dimming away into the blackness of space. They took the fleet of transport ships it took to get there back down to their respective homeworlds. They were greeted warmly=

(Jason)
Sure. Follow me, I'll take you to the meeting room.
=I turned around, and walked back to Alpha Base=

"Finnally. Although I still think this is a waste of time"

Xzan followed the human into the Base.

(Jason)
=We all walked through the doors, into the base. Made a few turns in the halls, but we finally got to the meeting room. It wasn't really much: just one ling table, several chairs if anyone wanted to sit down, some screens on the wall. Nothing special=
If you want, have a seat.

=I gestured at the chairs=


=The guards and the prisoners reached the cells. Truth be told, the cells were not that bad. Each one had: a bed with sheets, a blanket, and a pillow. A toilet, with two rolls of toilet paper. In all honesty, it was as nice as most military barracks=

Xzan entered the room with them, and he was amazed by the amount of rubbish there was in there. He saw the chair and shook his head in disgust.

"This is what you call a chair?"

Xzan rubbed his eyes and pulled the chair out, then he dusted it of. He sat down slowly and his Minors stood by his side, as well as his Advisers.

"Now I suggest you tell me what this is about, this would be most inappropriate if you was wasting my time?"

Xzan awaited an answer.

(Jason)
Okay, straight to business then. As I'm sure you were told, Haven, is a Forerunner world. We live here, in relative peace, and we'd appreciate it if that peace would continue. However, that does not mean we are defenseless, or incapable. We already destroyed a fleet of over 200 Covenant ships, so rest assured, we have experience in fighting.

A- I have only two things to say to you, Guard. When will we have our comrade back, and when may we speak to your leader again?




=The Azure Comet arrived outside the Obsidian Wolf. The Sethalii crew were greeted like heroes, even by the leading XNNOs personally. They were given transport back home, and the new soldiers and crew of the Comet boarded the ship in their brand new white and red SS battle armor. Xazhi was shown to the bridge, and introduced to the bridge staff. Alpha came with him. They departed, from the Wolf's hanger, and jumped to Slipspace=

*Guard*
You're friend is being taken to the Medical wing. They should be able to reattach his arm, and from there he should be fine. As for our boss.......he's currently busy, but he will speak with you as soon as he can.

morning.... god my back hurts, i think i'm going senile already.

=Abeir said nothing, and went over to the bed on the wall. He sat there in silence, thinking=
