=i wake up and head to the messhall, looking for food=

=makes sure the troph has the airfield in shooting range=

=i find some soup and take it to a table with me. I start eating, sipping, slurping, whatever term fits here=

A week later, I took all the warships from Haven, overruling any voice on the council. Who were they, to question me, their savior? It was my world to use, and it's power mine alone to wield. I took the fleet, and burned all before me: the Covenant, the UNSC, even the ones I once called friends, when they challenged me. I burned them all, and their worlds, until naught but cinders remained

=I woke up with a start, that kind where you sit straight up, gasping for breath, sweat covering my whole body, and the sheets on the bed damp with sweat, and twisted into knots. It was the second time, in three days, that I had that nightmare, that image, of what I feared I could become: a monster, run wild with power=

=i sit there, thinking=
I could ask about Chi Cheti IV, that should trigger something. But when?

=I got out of bed, and hit the shower. I let the hot water wash over me, as I thought about the dream. I didn't really believe in foresight, but I knew that dreams were usually a way for the subconscious to tell me something. I had a good idea what the message was: I feared, what I could become, what Haven represented. I knew that, it was meant as a new beginning. But the weapons, and technology here, could be used to twist Haven's purpose, and corrupt it. Destroy it, and replace it with death, and war=

(Miranda)
=The shower woke me up, and I had a good idea who was in it--after all, the bathroom was in the same room. I got out of bed, stripped, and got in the shower behind Jason. I started to rub his shoulders=
Another nightmare?

(Jason)
=Between the hot water, and Miri's strong, yet soft hands massaging my shoulders, I all but groaned in pleasure=
Yeah, this one worse.

=I was quiet for a moment=
I slaughtered the galaxy, with Haven's fleet. I became a monster.

(Miranda)
=I gently turned him around, to face me. I looked into his silver eyes=
Jason, you are not a monster. You never will be one.

(Jason)
=I let out a hollow chuckle=
I've already been a monster Miri. I've killed a colony, and shot into civilians. I've, tortured people, and left them as withered husks.

=I couldn't tell, whether it was the shower water, or tears in my eyes=
And now, I'm not even human. I'm, an outsider. How, am I not a monster?

(Miranda)
=I was silent for a moment, then, I gently kissed him=
Because I know that you're not a monster Jason. What you've done, it was never really you. And what you are now?

=I lifted a hand to his face, to the streak of silver=
This, is not who you truly are either. I've seen you Jason, and I know, with all my heart, that you are no monster. What we look like, never dictates who we choose to live as. And you have lived, as a good man.

(Dormii)
Gah, who am I kidding? She won't be the same person...

(Miranda)
=I kissed him again, still gently, but I let my lips stay on his, for a while longer. Then, I stopped the kiss=
I fell in love with you, not for what you looked like, but who you lived as. I chose to marry a man, who truly knew the difference between right and wrong.

(Jason)
=I felt myself smile this time=
There's the woman I fell in love with.

=I kissed her this time, and while it was as gentle as her kiss, it was not diminished in passion. We satyed in the shower for a bit=

=It had been three days, since we all got settled into our respective cities. There was a lot of exploring (there still was) and most of it was being done by a mix of surviving scientists, and children that felt the need to poke their heads everywhere. My city, Osea, was not exactly becoming a shining jewel of progress, but neither were the other four cities. And hey, it hadn't even been a week. We weren't miracle workers=

(Grimm)
=I made my way to the teleporter. While we were going to make a schedule for the meetings, the five of us, the leaders of each city, all agreed that we should meet daily, until things smoothed out. I stepped onto the black pad=
Council Chambers!

=I was immediately surrounded in gold light=

=I took the teleporter to the Council Chambers, a building that Silver Light had decided to build for us. It was still under construction though, with only the meeting room, and restrooms finished. We had power though, and sentinels were committed to the place, as security. I walked to the table that had been set up, and was pleased to see that the others were already showing up=

(Dormii)
But I need to try, right? I can't give up...but I can't just change her life...gods dammit...

=I stood at my chair=

=It was a few minutes later, before I got out of the shower, dried off, and got some clean clothes on. I then had Silver teleport me to the Council Chambers. I walked inside, Silver behind me, and came to stop at the end of the table=

Good morning Councilmen, and Councilwomen.

=we all sat down, and went over recent events, which were minimal. Everyone was still getting used to the cities, which was fine. I think I would have been alarmed if they adapted to the situation overnight. Anyway, one topic up for discussion was rather important: the formation of schools. Everyone wanted to make sure, that their kids got a good education, even if it was on an alien world=

Okay, so we'll need to either build schools, or find a building we can use. Silver, do any the cities have building meant to teach students? Like schools, colleges, or academies?

(Silver Light)
There are many such buildings here on Haven Inheritor. All of which can be occupied. If you would like, the students can learn the same studies that would have been taught here.

(Jason)
=I looked at the council, and they shook their heads=
Thanks Silver, but I think we'll stick to the standard stuff. Forerunner studies may be a bit too advanced. Okay, next thing.

=I looked at the list: many people, while grateful for the food, were dissatisfied with the fact that it was all vegetables and fruit, but no meat=

Okay, Silver, are there any animals here, on Haven? I mean, fish, cattle, birds, anything edible?

(Silver Light)
Certainly not! The Mantle forbids the consumption of flesh.

(Jason)
Silver, we are not devout believers of the Mantle. We can't survive on fruits and vegetables alone

(Silver Light)
I am sorry, but there is none to be had here.

(David)
Well, it's not as if it's anything really necessary.

(Alvin)
Maybe not for you, but I'm dying for a burger.

(Jason)
Okay, how about this: We stick it out for a few more days, maybe a week or two. I'll see if I can establish some trade routes or something. Maybe try and get some animals here, that we can breed, and then eat.

(Carolyn)
Uh, who exactly will we trade with? The UNSC believes us dead, and I think you would rather they didn't find this location. Also, and this is just a guess, but I believe that Delta would rather not have to trade with us.

(Jason)
I know some people, neither UNSC, or Delta's people. They're friends. Hell, they helped transport all of you. I don't know how much we'll be able to get, or even if we'll get anything at all. Worst comes to worst, we trade with a UNSC colony. The farther away from the more central planets, the better.

(Nagasae)
This may seem like a petty request, but are there any clothes here on Haven? All we have with us are the clothes we had on the Azure Comet.

(Silver Light)
There are a large number of clothing containers in the storage sections of Haven. I will have sentinels begin distribution of them t the cities. Also, if you would like, there are small factories, that can help you make more clothes.

(David)
Well, then I guess we're off to a good start.

(Jason)
As good as we can hope. Okay, is there anything else?

(Alvin)
Yeah actually. I've got some scientists in my city, and they won't stop asking me for permission to investigate the city, and learn more about it. They want to study the tech here, and find out what makes it all work, and frankly I can't help but support them.
=I turned to face Jason)

Look, I know you want us to be careful, and not touch anything. But I feel we at least deserve to learn for ourselves, about where we're living.

(Jason)
=I thought for a moment. He had a point. I was no parent, but I knew that at some point, you had to let children learn for themselves. I wasn't trying to sound old or anything, God no. I just felt I understood a little=
Okay, they have permission to learn about what makes the cities work. However, they must do so under the supervision of Silver Light, or a sentinel under his control. They will not activate, or deactivate anything, without his say so. Understood?

=They all nodded=
Okay, then if there is nothing else, this meeting is adjourned. We shall meet back here, in two days. Sound good?

=By now, the Spiders on Olympus had exploded in population. Their numbers were in the millions already, and they now occupied much of the mountainous area where they had landed=


=While Lori had stayed behind on the OW to help Alpha with the cleanup work and maintaining the peace and security, Xazhi had gone with Delta aboard the Azure Comet, although he did not know where they were going=

=i got up and went to the training room, the non holographic section. I needed something to beat to death, and I needed to feel it. i put on a glove for my left hand and started beating on the punching bag=

=i looked out a viewing port and saw that we were back at Olympus=
Huh, never felt the ship jump...

=i stopped beating on the bag and went to the grav room to head down to the planet=
