Chapter 8 NAME "Shit Happens"

=i take the small cube and hold it, more tears form and fall and i start sobbing again=

(David)
True. But, I'm guessing you want us to hold off on that for a bit?

(Jason)
Yeah. Look, maybe in a month? Or five? For now, just stick to the stun guns, and the security force.

(David)
Fair enough Jason, fair enough.
=I shook his hand briefly, then left for the teleporter=

(Jason)
=I had Silver teleport me back to my ship. I wasn't tired, so I just got something to eat=

(Senox)

=I... I had... Been... Reading. Human... Lungs... No... 'Literature' was interesting. The best one was where the egg fall off the wall. And died a slow and painful death.=

(Nexumil -On board the ship)

(Still in Nexumil, typed in English)

(The Dokter) Tyerins. Bring the... 'Replacement'.

=Tyerins brings the Dokter, as he liked to be called, the 'replacements'.=

(The Dokter) Good. It may be finished... Soon.

(Jason)
=While I ate, I thought about what the Council was asking: a military, and therefore, a fleet. I was not exactly willing to give them haven's fleet (it was meant to defend the planet, and recent events did not count.) However, just because I wouldn't give them Haven's fleet, did not mean they would not have ships. Just like with the weapons, I could have them reverse engineer the tech of the Forerunner ships (or at least the least devastating parts of the ships) and combine it with Human tech. Or at the very least, combine Forerunner tech, with Human ingenuity=



---ONI base, CODENAME: Tartarus---

=Garuda Team was assembled in the armory, inspecting the new weapons. For the team sniper, a prototype railgun sniper, a continuation of the M99 line, but based off the Gauss turret. It fired a tungsten round at such speeds, and with so much force, it could tear through a building.
For the fastest member, a set of modified SMG's. They had double the ammo size, fired armor piercing rounds, and had low recoil.
The strongman of the team, got a captured piece of Covenant tech, and it was a rare find: a Brute Chieftain's hammer.
As for the last member, the team leader, a special weapon: the boys in ONI had finally found a way to reverse engineer the plasma rifles the Covenant had used, and they had just made this rifle. It came with a set of battery packs, and could cut down enemy shields.

However, none of that compared to their armor, which was still being modified=

=Torres heads to a small clearing near the base and waits for the pelican to arrive. He takes off his helmet feeling the windy breeze=

(Dormii)
=i slowly get up, tears still in my eyes. i walk to the Pelican, still holding the holo-cube. i sit down on the edge and look at the cube, thinking=

=Torres sees Dormii on the pelican=

Lets go Zeru. I will take you back you your ship.

=Torres gets on the pelican and sits down by the pilot=

(Dormii)
=i sit there, on the edge of the Pelican's ramp, staring at the cube. I don't say anything. The plantes on my arm open and close in time with my breathing, but are closer to open and down than closed and up=

=climbs on top of the pelican and activates the mag locks=

=Torres hits the wall behind the pilot letting him know. The pelican takes off heading to the Tropheum. The planets surface getting further and further away=

=He closes the back=

Draco-Ready.

L/G-Yeah.

=He lifts off, heading towards Repent=
=He places Andrea into the console and heads to the back with the others=

Draco-You both did very well.

Grace-Nah, I did terribly.

Lynn-Whatever Grace, you did well.

=She stands and hugs him=

Lynn-Thanks. Draco.

Draco-I have a feeling. This was only part one of the play.

Lynn-I hope it doesnt turn into a tragedy.

(Dormii)
=i watch the planet shrink behind us. i keep a hold of the cube=

=The pelican reaches the Tropheum and land=

Well here we are.

(Dormii)
=i jump off the Pelican and head to the pool room=

=It nears Repent=
=More time passes and it lands=
=The soldiers gather around and as they step off they salute=

Draco-At ease, return to your posts.

=They disperse doing what they were doing previously=
=She shakes her head=

Lynn-I still cant believe that you lead all of those people.

=He shrugs=

Draco-It isnt really that difficult

=He waves to some of them=

Grace-Still. We are used to you being the leader of us.

Draco-I am your equal. Im not your leader any longer.

(Jason)
=When I had finished eating, Molly had come back. She looked like a kid in a candy store=

(Molly)
Holy Shit! This place is unbelievable! I mean, look at it!
=I walked to the fridge, and got a bottle of water. I sat down opposite Jason=

(Jason)
Yeah, it really is something else. By the way, since your going to be here, you're going to need a special tool.

(Molly)
What do you mean?

(Jason)
Well, almost everyone here on Haven has what we call an "omni-tool"- it's a device, that wraps around your arm. It's Forerunner, but it's not a weapon. Think of it more like a PDA/Swiss Army Knife; a tool with many uses.
=I brought my arm up to my chest, and with a thought, activated my device=

(Molly)
=I saw an orange hologram engulf his arm=

=Torres get out of the pelican=

=i walk into the pool room. i take off my armor and sit on the edge of the pool, still holding the cube=

=He sits next to Lynn, across from Grace=
=He says a prayer and begins to eat=

Draco-Whats the plan for today.

Lynn-Ive got an idea.

=The bottle hit my head. Hey, it was plastic. It wasn't going to hurt=
Hey, can't blame a guy for making a joke.

(Molly)
Only when you say the dumb jokes. So, where do we get one of those?

(Jason)
Well, the one I have is of the highest ranking. It's basically the most advanced model. I can probably get you one just like it.

(Molly)
Sounds good. Where do we get one?

Draco-Hmm.

=Lynn looks down, beginning to play with her food=

Lynn-I was just thinking..maybe..We could stop by your room?

Draco-Hmm... =he thinks= yeah. We could.

=She smiles and nods=

Lynn-Then...perhaps training?

Draco-Of course.

Grace-Ill join the training. Just. Yanno comm me. Ill be in the medbay.

=He nods, they return to their food=

(Silver Light)
=I got the Inheritor's message, and teleported into his ship=
Yes Inheritor, what do you wish to talk about?

(Molly)
Holy Hell! What is that?

(Silver Light)
=I turned to find another human, a young girl=

My name is Molly Borden. I'm a friend of Jason's.

(Jason)
Yes, you're my friend, and my goddaughter. But more my friend than anything else.

=I teleported across Haven, and into a storage area. I found another device, of the same rank, and brought it back to the Inheritor's ship=

=I drifted over to the Inheritor's ward=

=I did. The device, which looked like a sleeve made of flat wires, wrapped around my lower arm. I felt a sharp little pain, but it quickly faded. I thought how I would turn it on, when it suddenly did=

=They finish their food and Draco and Lynn go to his room=

Lynn-I dunno. I want to look around. See what you have up.

Lynn-I remember alot of these.

Draco(taking a seat on the bed)-I relive them everynight.

Draco-We were well into our training.

Draco-Yeah.

Draco-It varies with your mood. I think right now it is blue.

=I sit there and hold her tightly=
