=wakes up with a gasp and looks up at the sky through the shattered drop pod=

what the fuck was that???

=tries to eject the door of the pod, but to no avail=

=kicks at the door with my uninjured leg=

=The six troops, all in Class 2 Combat Skins, and armed with both the stunners and Forerunner plasma pistols, walked to the crash zone. There was a pod in sight, and some kind of banging was coming from it. The team leader directed two of his men forward, to the pod's front, while he and the others took position on either side of the pod. Sentinels came down, hovering over the clearing=

oh shit, someones there...

=I stop kicking and draw my both of my silenced SMGs, and flick the safety catches off, ready for a fight.=

*Team Leader*
Throw out any weapons you have, and come out with your hands up! You are surrounded.

=every trooper and sentinel there had their weapons trained on the pod=

(Fatet)

=I listen to the team leader but shake my head. One of the holes in the pod is just large enough for a grenade.=

this better work...

=I throw a flare through the gap and give on final kick before running from the pod as fast as I can.=

=The troops helmet visors adjusted to the flare, while the sentinels already followed the fleeing intruder. Two of the troops already ran after the intruder, and tackled him=

=as I hit the floor I empty a clip from my smg into my attackers helmet hoping that it might buy me some time to get away=

=The first guy's visor held fro maybe half the clip, then it shattered, and he went down, dead. His partner didn't even hesitate: he pulled out his stunner, and shot the intruder in the head, knocking him out=

=there was only one thing that I saw, the visor cracking, blood, a flash of light and blackness as I dropped back into unconsciousness, I was surprised to have even made it this far, with all the blood i was losing=

=the guy that stunned the intruder was pissed. Yes, he already knocked the shooter out, but that guy killed his partner. He aimed a kick at the guy's side, then noticed there was some blood. He commed for medical assistance, as well as the fact his partner was dead=

=i left the military outpost with more knowledge yhan when I left. Granted, I didn't learn how the weapons worked or even what kind of weapons there were, but I did learn one thing. The Forerunners loved geometry. Everything was perfectly straight and angular, and any curves that were present were perfect circles. The list of names repeated itself many more times until finally, I decided to do something about it. I commed up Silver=

Hey, Silver Light, it's Dormii. Do you think it's possible to make a small ship for me?

It's not high on the priority list, I just want to know for a trip I'm planning. What is the smallest possible size for a ship and still have Slipspace capability? I have the design ready, I just need to know what is possible.

=I checked the archives concerning ship designs and slip-space travel=
According to my archives, the smallest ship size capable of slip-space transit, at least by Forerunner standards, would be equal to, if not slightly larger than, one of your human made fighters, the "Longswords," as you call them.

That's all I would need. So, whenever a break forms in the shipyard, that's all I would need. Do you want me to give you the design details now, or when the ship can be built?

Perhaps we should wait until after the battle?


=meanwhile, back on the surface, the medical team arrived to see to the intruder. They patched him up, then put some cuffs on him. They also brought a bag for their fallen comrade=

=I still got no response from my shout. Well, a few heads turned to look in my direction, but no one really stepped forward saying they were the captain=

Yeah. Like I said, it's not important.

Can someone please tell me who the captain of MED-7 is?

As the makeshift camp rustled and bustled, they were all too pre-occupied with their duties to the patients to take notice of the one who had, unbeknownst to them, allowed them this brief reprieve. They went about their duties, after about fifteen minutes, a man, one of the pilots, approached Jason.

"Who are you, and what's with the funny looking suit?" he said ignorantly.

(Jason)
Look, I know that you're a medical ship, and that you've got wounded. But I need to speak with your captain. Believe me, he just landed at ground zero for a a shit storm.
=I ignored the possible jibe about my suit. Hey, I had very little pride=

(Fatet)

=I start to come around and feel the cuffs on my wrists, I look at the team who attacked me,
Thankfully they dont expect me to be awake so early so they have stopped looking at me.
I start to crawl away towards the trees but a branch snaps under me and I freeze=

=Every soldier there, including two Sentinels, turned to face the intruder as he tried to sneak away. They all raised there weapons, and one of them said=
Go ahead, give us a reason. I dare you, I double dog dare.

(Fatet)

=I stare at the weapons and the men holding them and un-tint my visor to show them how un-afraid I am=

"Go on then, shoot me, you cowards can only kill prisoners right? Is that why your hiding here and not fighting the covenant? Or maybe you never lost someone in a glassing? I couldnt care to be honest! After what happened on New Jerusalem death's a welcome respite! Go on, pull the goddamn trigger!"

=I breathe heavily after my surge of anger, but what I said was the truth, not fake bravery, a small part of me wanted them to shoot me, to end it, but then I'd be a coward aswell, abandoning all the other colonies and the millions the covenant would kill=

=The soldiers fired their stunners again. Once the target was down, they put another set of manacles on his legs. If he managed to escape from that, then there would be no second chances. They'd kill him. However, what he had said was not lost on them. True, they had the power to help the UNSC, and the remaining colonies. But, the UNSC already tried to kill them. If they would help anyone, it was going to be the people on the colonies, not the UNSC. They gathered the prisoner up, and continued back to Alpha Base=

I understand that, and that's why you have to leave as soon as possible. We have reason to believe that the Covenant is sending a fleet here.

Crewman: "I'm afraid we can't do that mister. We need a hospital ASAP, we were supposed to be at some planet, I can't remember the name of it, that had this doctor to treat some of our more seriously ill patients. If they are not put in a Hospital soon, we'll run out of supplies and won't be able to help them. Especially that guy that the intern, Nicholas, is treating. Kid's been working his heart out for him. In my personal opinion, I think the loss of that patient would be devastating for for morale. anyway, I got sidetracked. The doctor we were looking for was a specialist for some kind of rare illness, that kills the infected person in a relatively short period of time, we have him in stasis still, so he won't die. The stasis module we're using is running out of power, getting to that hospital would've been cutting it close, but the captain believes he would live if we got there in time. That's not looking very likely at this moment. Oh, and are VI died, or something. Not really sure, one of the tech's said it was corrupted and short-circuited itself."

The crewman looks at Jason, sighing.

Aww hell. Look, I can't let you guys stay long. You'll become a liability that I can't afford to have. I will however bring some of our own doctors here, as well as any supplies we can spare. But no matter what, you must leave as soon as you can. Does that sound fair?

Crewman: "I'm afraid it's more complicated than that."

(Jason)
It always is.
What? I mean hell, if I have to, I'll even have your ship patched up, but I can't have you guys here. It's too dangerous, for me and you.

Crewman: "What? it's a planet. It can't be that bad."

(Jason)
I don't trust you enough to tell you exactly what's here, but I can tell you that the Covenant will come in force to claim it, and they will burn every last man, woman and child here to get it. You're all better off just running.

Crewman: "Well, Why aren't you running?"

(Jason)
Good question.

Because this is our home. Everyone here, their worlds, their homes were already destroyed, burned to ash. This is their home now, and it's the only one they've got. We're staying, to defend our home.

Crewman: "Well from what I've seen, you can handle a couple covenant ships. The Captain damn near died when he saw all your ships surrounding us. I think we're safe enough. Even so, it's not my decision to make."

(Jason)
=I let out a chuckle with no real joy in it. A cold chuckle=
I don't have a lot of ships. I have 20, maybe 22 ships. The Covenant will be sending hundreds.

Crewman: "all the same, it's not my decision."

(Jason)
Okay then. Just show me where your captain is, so I can explain all this to him.

Crewman: "well, my guess is he's somewhere in the fray." The Crewman points to the temporary medical tents set up.

(Jason)
Well that's just great. Playing hide and go seek was not on my to do list.
=I left the crewman, and made my way into the tents,my helmet secure. While I walked, I kept shouting out for the captain of MED-7=

(Dormii)
=i wandered around a bit more, just looking at what I could look at. At some point, I made my way to a security checkpoint up to the exterior. I talked to one of the guards=
Hey, mind if I head up or down or whatever it is?

=Within the dark, empty room. Cryo Chambers all around=
=It had only been a few days, however he was already under=
=His mind had stopped. Doing something it had not done in his twenty seven years of living=
=It was at rest=

=His own mind, along with Zayne's, had been stopped=

=A hand is placed onto the tube=
=She had been there each day, conversing with Andrea=

*Like I said, I dont know why, but with the way he was acting. It seemed as though he was trying to get away*

=She sighs=

He did it to protect Grace and I...

=She removes her hand slowly=

=Near the ship, the unconcious marine starts to come to=

Marine: Uhhhhh.....

=Viktor puts around in the back of his head for his troubles=

Viktor: No LIVING witnesses, no one to say a word

@Viktor You done now, you savage?

Viktor: Yes, yes I am. And as we agreed, you have control now.

@Viktor Good, =with authority= now back off.

=Viktor's presence retreats to the back of my mind=

Good, now I can focus on getting off this planet and getting more business...

=I get on my ship, and plug Diana back in=

@Diana So...was that cocky, stupid, crazy, or logical?

Diana: I would say crazy and logical. You don't know if you can control him, but it needed to be done.

@Diana I just did, and all they did was scratch the paint. I'd say that worked out well despite the risk.

Diana: It did. But don't do it again.

@Diana I won't. At least not willingly.

Diana: =sighs= At least get off this dirtball.

@Diana Right. Plot jump coordinates and I'll take us out.

Diana: Roger that. Plotting now.

=I fire up the drives and we take off=

=I decided to move towards the center of the encampment. Maybe the leader's tent was located there=
Yeah, and maybe the worst cases are locked up there. Oh God help me if there are any lepers here.


=The troopers that were transporting the intruder from the drop pod had reached the Alpha Base. They put him in one of the open cells, and posted two guards, one outside the door, the other at the end of the hall=


=The two guards in the hospital remained at their posts outside Jeremy's room. They'd radio in every now and then, to give a small status report. One of them even went to the bathroom=

Hey, you're not supposed to leave your post.

=the transport took off, and soon, I was at the exterior base. I got off and started walking around, looking for something to do=

=it was maybe another minute, before I arrived outside a very large tent. There may have been a symbol on it, but i couldn't really tell (night had already fallen). I was about to walk inside, through an open gap, when I got a call from one of the guards at the landing zone. Dormii had arrived on the exterior surface=

Understood. He's free to move around, just give him fair warning that the armory, and communication building is restricted. Also, give him my apologies if that sounds harsh. If he wants to look around those zones, have at least one guard come with him.

*Security Officer*
Yes sir.
=he walked over to where Dormii was, and gave him Jason's message. And apology=

It's understandable. Thank you for telling me, though.

=once the message was delivered, I walked into the main tent of MED-7's camp=
Excuse me, but who here is the captain of MED-7? I need to talk with him.
