ZRP-2: Chapter 5: Pariah's Warning

(James)
"Yeah well take it slow. Savor it like it could be your last drink."
=Because odds were, it just might be=

(Sam)
"No problem. But now you know why I hate cuddling with you most days."

Eve sniffed. She looked hurt. "I'm sorry..." She tightened her grip a bit. "Please don't make me let go."

Hibiki sighed. "Now who's being so down?"

(Sam)
"Well not while you're awake. But when it comes time to sleep....give a girl some room to breathe."

(James)
"Just being a survivalist. Call it two years of habit."

Eve looked ashamed. "I'm getting better..." She paused. "Then...would you hold me while I sleep instead?"

Hibiki rubbed her temples. "I hate being a survivalist sometimes..."

(James)
"Yeah well suck it up Ms. former SWAT officer. And here's to impending victory."
=I raised my paper cup in a toast=

(Sam)
"Sure.....but we're spooning. That way you can't get a grip on me."

Hibiki raised hers. "To victory."

Eve smiled happily. "No complaints."

(James)
=Thumping my paper cup with hers, I downed the rest of my water=
"Now, lets see this through."

(Sam)
"Next time though. We have to get back to it."

Eve hugged her gently, then scooted up and nuzzle her cheek quickly before sitting up.
"Don't make a girl a promise, if you know you can't keep it." Eve took Sam's hand in both of hers. "Please...if you say next time...can you tell me there will be a next time?"

Hibiki crumpled her cup. "Let's go burn those assholes."

(Sam)
"There's going to be a next time. Now move it."
=I got up, put my shoes back on and grabbed my gear, waiting for her guy the door=

(James)
"Well said."
=And then we left=

Eve was satisfied.
Getting her things together, she went to Sam, then stood on her tiptoes and kissed Sam's cheek.
"I promise...I'll do my best to not give you anymore problems...no...I'll do better then my best if I can."

Hibiki followed, racking a round into the chamber.

(Sam)
"Good enough. But right now, that's something to worry about tomorrow. Lets worry about today."
=Opening the door, I led us out of the room and back to the front lines of hell=

(James)
"So, if this place fails, where to next?"

"I don't know. I really don't."

Eve nodded, drawing her bow. "Let's do it."

(James)
"Maybe take that boat somewhere nice. Find an island somewhere."

(Sam)
=We reached the wall soon, and got back on it=
"So, how much longer before they strike? Anyone, bets?"

"Not Fiji. I say the Bermuda Triangle." Hibiki said.

Eve looked at her bow. "I need a gun for this..."

(James)
"Bad enough we have walkers, but you want to get lost in the Bermuda Triangle? No thanks."

(Sam)
"Well, maybe not real bets but seriously. They have to attack at some point."

"Least the zombies can't find us." Hibiki laughed.

Eve sighed. She just stayed quiet.

(Andrew)

=I take a drink of water I had in my canteen, just sitting down and watch the sun set behind the Arch=

Would have killed to see it before the world went to shit...

=I yawned and stretched, having taken a little rest where I stood watch=

Fuck what they think...it allows me to keep an eye on this prick...

=I then look out, waiting for round two to come=

(James)
"Yeah but I'd a least like to make my way back to solid land again"

(Sam)
"Well aren't you talkative."

"Why not?"
Hibiki laughed.

Eve shrugged. "I guess."

(James)
"Because I don't want to spend the rest of my life out at sea. I'd like to live on dry land thank you very much."

(Sam)
"Okay then."

"I don't know what to say that won't annoy you." Eve admitted.

Hibiki sighed. "Well."

(James)
"Well what?"

(Sam)
"Here's a bit of advice: silence annoys me more."

"I guess you don't want an excuse for me in a bikini most of the time." Hibiki said.

Eve sighed. "I love you, if you die I'll kill you, and I hate this."

(James)
=Chuckling, I shook my head=
"We could always grab beach front property."

(Sam)
=I blinked at her, but grinned=
"Well, that's a start. And likewise."

Eve blushed a bit. "Thanks."

Hibiki grinned. "Beachfront mansion."

(James)
"To the hamptons then."

(Sam)
=Smiling, I went back to staring down the barrel of my SAW and scanning the alley=

"I like that idea." Hibiki scanned the area. "Champagne?"

Eve smiled slightly. She just kept an sharp eye out.

(James)
"If they kept any of it secured, and it lasted this long, then maybe."

"Yeah...probably an Elite hangout by now. We should take over Australia." Hibiki joked.

(James)
"If we can make it that far, sure. But I think I'll try and stay here, in North America. Born here......might as well die here, right?"

"I'd not mind dying in Japan..."
Hibiki sighed.

(James)
"Were you ever there? I mean, did you know what it was like in Japan?"

"A bit..." Hibiki sighed. "I saw my grandparents. Customs sucked because I brought his katana to America with me."

(James)
"So wait, that's not just a movie prop you're holding. That's....that's the real deal?"

"Real deal...you honestly thought this was some stupid prop?" Hibiki scowled.

(James)
"Well, you never said. I figured prop from a knife shop or something."

(Andrew)

=I was bored out of my damned skull. I was in need of some entertainment=

I could always troll James for a cheap laugh...

Well...Goddamnit those two... I swear...they hit it off since day one...

=I hit the wall a bit=

I don't know why...I just want them to get a taste of how I felt sometimes...That raider business was NOTHING...

=I envied them. I don't know why...but I highly envied them, and wanted them to suffer as much as I had. The stuff they had gone through... these past few days was paltry=

Hibiki sighed. "I thought I did..."

(James)
"Either you never did or I've taken too many blows to the head."

Hibiki shrugged. "Oh well."
She looked through her built in scope. "I hate this even more..."

(James)
"The waiting?"

"And the knowledge they are somewhere..."
Hibiki sighed.

(James)
=I placed a hand on her shoulder=
"We'll fight them off soon enough. Or run and live to fight another day. But we won't have to wait all night."

"I'd rather get it over with ya'know?"
rolling her shoulders, Hibiki was getting jumpy.

(James)
"Same. But, not like I can just ask them to attack. Besides.....who does that? Just go to an enemy and bento be attacked?"

"The people who are tired of waiting and just want to get it over with already."
Hibiki sighed.

(James)
"Heh, suddenly I can tell you don't like getting shots of any kind."

"I hate needles." Hibiki admitted.

(James)
"Same here. But nothing we can do about it."

"Yeah."

Hibiki sighed.
