Ladies and Gentlemen, (Yes, I like my fancy intro's.) I hereby present to you Merpers, the official start of the Mass Effect Role Play, version 2.1! (2.1 Makes it much cooler.)

=i checked the datapad to confirm the target. It was him. I watched him through the windows, pacing back and forth. He knew it was coming, that he may very well die. He had a pistol on him, but I couldn't tell the model of it from this far away. I rolled my shoulders, loosening them up. I grabbed my Grall Spike Thrower and charged it up. I fire into the window, shattering it. I ejected the clip and backed up a bit to do a running jump. The gap wasn't huge, but it was enough to warrant caution. I jumped, partly clipped the lower edge of the window, and rolled into the office. I got up, and my target was backing away. I saw that he had barricaded the door, which made me laugh. A few seconds later, he started to shoot at me. That killed my laughter, and I sent a biotic blast his way. The force of it knocked him into the wall, causing him to drop his gun. I picked him up by the neck, and threw him out the window. I checked to make sure my omni-tool was recording, then started to remove the barricade to I could go and collect my reward. Omega wasn't the nicest of places, but it was fun. Anyone could do almost anything, death was everywhere, even if it was behind the scenes, and people willing to kill others gave good money for that to happen. I chuckled lightly as I removed the chairs and desks. The teacher was causing too many problems with too many people. He should've focused more on the kids than on their parents, because now, those kids have to learn from someone else. I got the last desk out of the way, and started to make my way out of the empty school=

I sat in the observation deck, alone. I rather preferred to sit on my own in the quiet rather than with everyone else in the noise. It gave me time to relax. Being a commando didn't usually allow that luxury much. We were en route to a hospital ship, The Moon Shade. That was something I found odd, the asari gave their ships such intricate names, whereas humans mostly named them after places, Something I'd never understand. I looked at my M-8 Avenger, I didn't like it. There was too much recoil for my liking. I'd have to put in a requisition for a modification or something.
When the Moon Shade came into view I stood up and walked to meet with my sqaud.
I hope there isn't going to be some kind of welcoming committee...

(Moon Shade (Only doing this for a few posts))

"Docking now... Once we pick up the Commandos, we're heading too...?" Engineer Neils asked.

"I don't know Neils. Let the Navigators deal with that. But if we're taking another Relay jump..." Engineer Tyrone replied.

"The system goes all fuzzy, I know. No sensors, no nothing. I doubt anythings going to attack us, we're a giant ship!"

The Moon Shade slowed down it's thrusters, so that the once blue flames now dulled into much weaker, smaller red ones. The ship 'clinged' as the docking clamps, locked on, and a bridge was connected over, so that the Commando's could board. A small group of five soldiers and the Chief Navigator headed down to welcome the Commando's on board. Each soldier wore a highly polished uniform, quite different from any combat wear at all.

"See if you can filter the energy. Might cause less disruption." Neils suggested.

"That would leave comms down though." Tyrone replied, again.

"Its not like anythings going to hit us. Just try it after the next jump."

As the four of us (Me and the other commandos) waited in the airlock, I thought how un-threatening we looked. If it weren't for our reputation, people would laugh in our faces. As it was, even Krogan BattleMasters had to give One-on-One Combat with a commando some thought. When the door finally opened, We were greeted by soldiers in dress uniform.
Oh Seriously? It's not like we're escorting a damned matriarch... I didn't say this out loud, I was far too polite to. So, I walked along with the rest of my squad, nearer the back, to hide my obvious lack of experience. I didn't have the 'Lethal Grace' of a commando when I walked, But it sure as hell was there when I fought.

Ineesha walked around Omega, standing tall. It was her third month as acting a vigilante on Omega, and her name was becoming known. Great thing about Omega was that she didn't have to worry about anti-Quarian bigotry here.

Everyone still died the same.

She walked around Omega, blending in with the crowd as much as she could, but it was getting difficult. Her red visor, and all around reddish scheme with her armor was a dead giveaway. She was giving some thought to a change in those colors, though.

Maybe black and yellow.. Dangerous colors, in nature..Made for fear..

Then again, did she really want to be feared? Right now, the crowd was mixed. This was a critical time in her "career". She had to decide whether she'd be feared, or respected.. A renegade, or a paragon.

However, she didn't see how it was possible to be a paragon vigilante.

Her job is to do things that an officer of the law wouldn't do. Get down and dirty. Break a few eggs, and skulls. But still, she had a choice just the same. Right now, she was the closest thing to law the people had, apart from Aria keeping people in line. But Aria was becoming a bit of a celebrity of sorts. Everyone knew her. People talked to her. She was the puppetmaster. But Ineesha was the girl that people would sing folk songs about.. The girl that children wanted to be when they grew up.

She found herself humming a bit of a theme song, walking aimlessly in her little "city" of Omega.

She liked the sound of that.

My city...

=i walked out of the school, and did my best to look natural. Really, that means look threatening and dangerous. I walked towards the area I think my target landed, and had a look around. I couldn't just let the body stay there, that would be unprofessional. Grun Narynok is anything but unprofessional, at least when it comes to targets. Any one else, meh, who cares. As long as they give me money, they're fine. I found the body, mostly intact, and started to drag it out of the public way. It'd be easier that way=

"Hello Commandos, it is an honour to have you onboard our Ship. I am Navigator Trompson, if you would please follow me to your living quarters, from there we have uploaded a VI to give you a quick tour around the ship." Trompson said, saluting at the Commandos. Trompson then began to walk down the sleek white halls of the sheep, quite different from the hard metal of other ships he had served on.

"Psst, Connely, you see that one second to front?" One soldier whispered to Connely.

"Yeah Yulvic?" Connely whispered back.

"She has one nice ass."

"Dear lord Connely..."

Walking around Omega, she sees a Krogan dragging a body off somewhere.

Damnit...Here we go again...Allons-y...

She ran up to the Krogan, gripping her shotgun. She was prepared for a fight, being in a few scuffs with his kind before. She knew enough, like most everyone, not to cross a Krogan unless she had to. But she did like to be prepared.

Hey, would you like to tell me what you're doing with that?

She points to the body, one hand still on her shotgun.

=i look up at a Quarian, holding a Claymore of all things and pointing at my, now dead, target. Her suit was red and black, including the visor. I hadn't seen a Quarian have those colors before, it was strange. But the shotgun, the Claymore, made if somewhat hilarious. She was using a Krogan shotgun! OH, the irony was killing me, but I suppressed the chuckle=
Finishing a job. Now, go away. You aren't part of it.

She rolled her eyes a bit at the Krogan's dismissive tone of voice. She's come to expect it by now, but she still didn't enjoy it. Thankfully, her visor kept any facial expressions from getting her into trouble.

This is going to be my business one way or the other, friend.

She gripped her gun a bit tighter, prepared to pull it out when provoked. She didn't like to throw the first punch when she didn't have to.

=at this point I couldn't help but chuckle as I continued dragging the body=
Suit, I'm probably not your friend. Not unless my employer hired you to test me, in which case, good job, very convincing.

=i saw her hand tighten on the shotgun=
You really want a fight?

I heard one of the others give a slight cough, the kind you do when you're annoyed, I wasn't really paying attention though, Just acting like it. I was tired, I found it hard to sleep during Faster-Than-Light travel. But, I'd have to listen to a VI go on and on about the ship. Seriously, that couldn't have waited until tomorrow? I had this thing with VI's, They annoyed me, so much so I always ended up arguing with one. Granted, it's always a one sided argument. Like the one on Thessia that spoke about Ardat-Yakshis as if they were a disease. They just had a... condition, it's not like it's their fault. Afterwards, That building 'mysteriously' lost power. I never lose an argument.

What I want is an explanation. I'm sorry for being a little cautious when I see a heavily armored Krogan dragging a body across the damned streets..

Her hands were still, she was completely unfaltering on the outside. She knew better than to show any fear in Omega, especially since she's been gaining a reputation. Inside however, she was getting a bit edgy. the Krogan seemed like he meant business, and was quite a bit smarter than anyone else she'd faced. She hoped there wouldn't be a conflict.

"Well, here are your living quaters ladi-Commandos. If you find that anything here is not suited to your fitting, inform the VI and it shall file a request." The Navigator said, before heading back down the endless halls of the white ship.

An orange VI, in the shape of a sphere, appeared on the table, waiting for the Commando's to begin the tour guide programme. The VI was an odd VI. It didn't listen much at all. Only ever listened to requests. Must've been a basic design, if anything.

It's none of your business, little pyjak. I suggest you go about your way before your suit get's hurt.

=i dropped the body and stood there watching her. I crossed my arms=
Unless you would like to help with what it is I am doing.

She stared at the Krogan for a little while, analyzing the situation. She wanted to get to the bottom of what's going on here, and he sure as hell wasn't going to tell her without a fight.

Is he really asking me to help him..? Well, fuck it. I'm a risk taker.. Looks like we're getting a little hands-on today.

Sure. I'll give you a hand.

She loosened her grip on the weapon slightly, still keeping an air of caution around her. Krogans didn't respect people who let down their guards down.

=i grunted=
Good. Grab his legs. I'd rather not do this in front of everybody.

=i grabbed his shoulders and started to drag him towards an alleyway. She didn't let down her guard. A smart move. I respected her for that. She wasn't stupid, she knew her way around a Krogan. Most don't, especially not Quarians.=

She walked to the other side of the body, and took up the legs, lifting them with ease.

So.. Mercenary? For who?

She asked with caution, trying not to trigger any sort of negative response in the beast. She never liked Krogans much.

I can't believe I'm helping this asshole...I hope I get a decent lead...

I looked at the VI, but not speaking.
"Okay, VI. Begin the tour." My commander stated.
"Of Course Commando." Came the synthesized voice, annoying me just a little. "Please Follow me."
We followed it out of the room and down a corridor. "These are the Staff's quarters, This is where the doctors stay..."
By the time the thing finished what it was saying, I had completely turned off, Not taking in a word of the things voice.

Not gonna say, little pyjak. Bad for business. If word get's out that I reveal my sources, I'm out of a job faster than a suit rupture would kill you.

=i turned down an alleyway and continued going so a random passerby wouldn't see us=

Can you at least tell me where we're going with this poor bosh'tet?

She continued hauling the body, keeping out of sight. She was used to hauling bodies by this time, however not with other people. She kept a close watch on the krogan

"Tyrone, you know what to do." Neils said, as the Ship began to the Mass Relay jump, the blue bolts of energy swarming around the ship, as it was almost flung to the next One. There was no real difference in the ship, nobody felt anything, except maybe to pilots. But hey, they wanted to do this job.

"Power routed. Comms are down, sensors are all fuzzy... ETA 1 minute until all clear. Two minutes shorter than usual. Nice call Neils." Tyrone said.

"What can I tell you, I'm a geniou-"

"SHIP ALERT! REPEAT SHIP ALERT! GUN BATTERIES HAVE BEEN HIT AND DAMAGED! REPEART GUN BATTERIES HAVE BEEEEEEEEEEEEE- Failure in system. Rebooting..."

=i looked around. The only way anyone was going to see us was if they came down this alleyway=
Here's good.

=i dropped the body to the ground unceremoniously and took out my Grall and focusing on the body=
You can leave now, little Quarian.

We knew we'd been hit. I had a bad feeling before we went through the relay. The four of us ran to the nearest window.
"By the Goddess..." One of the others said, "Are those GETH?"
"Commandos, This is what we train for! They're just synthetics! We can stop them!" Our commander shouted. It wasn't much of a speech but it was all we needed, each of us had drawn our rifles and were already moving to the most likely boarding area.
Time to show those 'Men' what a real soldier looks like... I thought, checking my thermal Clip.

Shit..I'm not getting any answers...I have to think quickly..

She pulls out her shotgun, keeping it aimed directly at the Krogan.

Give me some answers, Krogan. Now.

She really hoped this was going to work. Her suit was reinforced with some pretty good armor, and her weapon was able to take down almost any foe with ease. Still, something was special about this Krogan. He has an air about him..something told her he wouldn't be so easy. Only time could tell.

And maybe a few bullets, if it came to that.

=i glanced at her, and charged up the Grall and held it down, but ready. I had a blade on it, and the shredder mod. If needed, it would pack a punch=
Think carefully, little pyjak. You don't know what all I can do.

=i rolled my neck and flared my biotics. I didn't want to kill her. She could be a target in the future, or an employer. It's bad for business to kill people who could give you money=

The Geth ship continues to fire, disabling the ships guns.

"Where are the Engineers?!" The Captain shouted.

"All ship contacts gone! We don't know what-"

The captains deck is repeatedly smashed with hot blue balls of plasma, destroying it. The Geth shup the Begins to dock on the remains of the deck, as the troopers beging to pour out.

Well maybe you could tell me, instead of showing me. It'll be difficult for me to respect all that power if I'm dead.

Well, this is going better than expected...I'm still alive...

She kept the M-300 Claymore aimed at him, not about to let it down until she gets her answers.

=i chuckled loudly=
Never tell your enemy what you can do. Gives them more power.

=i thrust my fist forward and sent a biotic throw at her. It wasn't going to kill her, not in the least, just knock her around. Like I said, I don't want to kill her if I can help it=

The explosion made us stumble.
"What was that?"
"The Captains deck! Move now!"
With that we changed course to the captains deck. Before long the Geth came into view.
"Tactic: Huntresses. We're outnumbered, Work together." We all nod, My partner's name was Elysiia, I'd spoken to her a few times, we trained together, we were used to each others fighting style.
"Biotic Explosion?" I asked.
"You read my mind."
I threw a stasis bubble into the oncoming Geth, freezing them in place befor Elysiia warped the nearest Geth, causing an explosion that cleared the entire hall, we continued towards the captains deck, keeping radio silence to the other pair in case the Geth hacked our comms.

I just helped you, a complete stranger, drag a body across an alley. And don't tell me the gun is a factor. I've been here long enough to know that the best of friends pull a gun on eachmother enough. We don't have to be enemies, Krogan. I just need some answers.

Knocked slightly aback by the biotic charge, she holstered her weapon again, still staying conscious of what's going on around her.

My name is Ineesha. I'm sure you've heard of me.

=i grunted and let the flechette into the body's chest, ripping a large hole=
Can't say I have. I don't pay attention to names very often. Grun Narynok. Mercenary.

I'm sort of the law around here, apart from Aria. When I saw you with that body..Well.. It seemed a little out of place. I wanted to see if it's something I needed to stop.

She stood her ground, trying to sound as modest as possible. Sometimes she let a little bit of cockiness show through, but she was usually profesional, especially when talking to people she might have to kill.

=i turned on my omni-tool and took a picture of the body as proof=
Just a tip, Ineesha, dead bodies means you're too late. Learned that the hard way a few times.

=i put the Grall away and started to walk back down the alleyway=

The Geth Ship pulls away after dropping some troops off, and starts to head torwards the lower decks, towards the Medical bay.


(Tara (Yay! I can finnaly RP as mah Character!)

I'd stayed down here, in the med bay. There were still people injured and ill.. I could just abandon them. There were troops on the way anyway, right? Things would be fine... I guessed. That was until I heard some sort of explosion. I started to worry, I worried a lot.

"Doctor T'Lura! You need to get out now -" A soldier wearing some sort of fancy uniform shouted, before being shot down, by.. By... Plasma shots... Then I saw them, two geth troopers. They went to fire...

I felt useless. I couldn't do anything. I could try... Try and make some biotic shield...

I tried, and the geth fired... A small blue ball surrounded me, and the shots burnt into it. I panted, I hadn't used powers like this for years.

She walked with him, dusting herself off a bit after the blow taken from his biotic blast.

Well, not necessarily. If you're dragging the body away, it means that it's probably part of something organized. Which means it's a lead.

She walked with him, keeping up his pace, and allowing her feminine graces to return after she got so serious beforehand. She did enjoy being a woman in a man's world of criminals... Had a bit of elegance to it.

We rounded a corner and saw an Asari being fired at by Geth. We wasted no time. I threw the furthest one into a wall, Caving in its mid-section, while Elysiia emptied her assault rifle into the others' head. I looked at the Asari.
"Are you ok? We're some of the commandos stationed here." Elysiia walked to the other side of the hall, and waited by the door.

It could also mean that I don't want anyone to see. Every once in a while, some hotshot comes in and tries to interfere when they see me finishing up my work. I usually don't like tolerate that. Wastes time.

=i considered trying to get her to back off, but she had decided to help. And she hadn't attacked me, yet, so there was that=

What my lead wants is irrelevant to me, considering more often than not, I empty a clip into their thick heads.

She thinks for a while, and giggles slightly

No offense.

She kept walking with the krogan.

This guy isn't half bad.. I wonder where we're off to.. Hopefully I find out some sort of base..Something to go on.

"I'm fine, thanks, just a bit out of breath." I said, standing up.

As I stood up, I heard more explosions. Closer than before. I heard that sound the other Geth had made before. That robot sound the... I couldn't make an example of it. There were fast footsteps coming towards us. The ship echoed a lot of sounds, making it easier to hear things.

"I think there's more coming!"

None taken. I usually eviscerate those who don't back off, so, we're even. We both didn't do the usual.

=we continued walking. I was heading to the drop location.Very rarely, did I ever see my employer. They sometimes told me their name, sometimes wore a mask, sometimes did some cliche thing from holovids. It didn't matter to me, as long as I got paid=

Well, I'm honored to not be eviscerated, buddy.

She kept moving, and checked her omni tool's mail interface, to come up with nothing. Looks like she was free for the day, apart from whatever came from this little encounter. She was glad that the Krogan hadn't killed her, genuinely. Not many people pull a gun on a krogan and come out alive.

=we arrived at the drop off point, a small terminal. I accessed the terminal and transfered the photo with a note=

I'll bet you are, little pyjak. Most species prefer not to die.

I stepped forwards, raising my rifle. Elysiia came back from the door and stood next to me.
"Keep your head down."
We stood there for five minutes, nothing came. We lowered our rifles.
"My name is Alaya T'Zela, this is-" I was cut short by the noise of a Geth, before a plasma bolt hit me. Luckily it hit my rifle, destroying it, but I was alive. Elysiia wasn't so lucky, the second bolt hit her sqaure in the face, she was dead before she hit the ground.
The impact had flung me into a wall, so, still in a sitting position, I drew my Phalanx and fired at the slight blur of the Geth Hunter.

She chuckles a bit, nodding her head slightly

You'd be surprised at all the suicidal bosh'tet I've had to off on this job.

She looks at the message input on the board

500,000 creds...? Doesn't look like he put up much of a fight, either, so he can't be any sort of warrior.. What the helll does your employer have against this guy?

I watched as the two asari were shot at by the Geth, and one had... Been killed, trying to protect me. I felt guilty... It didn't matter now. I had to help the other Asari, but I wasn't going to get anywhere without something to fight the geth with. The dead Asari had dropped her rifle, so I ran across, the back of my leg getting slightly burnt by a plasma shot. I slid behind a sticking out part of the wall, and grabbed the rifle. I ran while ducking, and held the trigger of the rifle, firing at the Geth. Wether it worked or not, I didn't know. I reached the down asari, after my arm getting hit, not badly however, but it still hurt pretty bad. I started to drag her slowly, behind one of the medical tables.

--Arcturus Station--

=Okay, I didn't care how many times I've walked around the station; Arcturus was huge, at least by human standards. It was the second largest station Humans had ever built, Jump Zero (aka Gagarin Station) being the record holder. It was still an odd thing walking around the place. Arcturus is basically a Stanford Torus type space station. In other words, it was basically a giant ring with a central area, that being Command. That also mean that I was walking along the inside of the ring. Like I said, it was kinda odd. Anyway, I was due for a meeting with my superior officer. Apparently, I had a new assignment=
