Chapter 1: Welcome to the New World

"He's all yours officers," Revenant said as he stood atop the fallen suit, shouting it loudly to the police already nearing him and Goliath. "Now to get his friends," he said, and with that jumped off the armor and headed for the manhole. He would have made it too, had Hercules not arrived, one of their gunships moving down low into the street and a speaker mounted aboard blaring "Revenant stop where you are and put your hands in the air, you are under arrest!"

"Really? REALLY?" Revenant shouted. He'd have moved around them, but from the side of the gunship came ropes, and several of their troopers rappelled down to the street, guns at the ready and trained on Revenant. "Wow I'd love to stay and play but the giant metallic turtle back there kinda tired me out. Maybe next week?" he said.

Dark was about to walk away... he was but someone held him back. "What.."

Sup Dark.

You. Of course.

Turn back.

Why..

Because we forgot to introduce ourselves to those asswipes.

Dam it.

Hey.. Think of it as people you can knock around.

I love you too buddy. And with that Dark turned around, he hoped to get away but now that Marcus was back he had too. He had to turn back because Mark had some control.

"Not a chance silver boy," one of the troopers said. They raised their weapon, ready to fire. That was all Revenant had as a warning, and he promptly ignored it by firing a cable to the roof. They opened fire, bullets zinging by as he was pulled to the ledge, a few rounds hitting his armor, though none of them were a straight shot--if they had been, they would have penetrated.

That said, he was able to get away from the foot soldiers, but the gunship was another story as it flew above him, the spotlight following his movements. Dammit, again with this crap.....okay, we need to lose them and pray that Shadow doesn't get involved. He'd just kill them in his state.

A hole ripped open in the middle of the tunnel and a suited up Urthus tumbled out of it, saving away the deadly fog of radiation to let it dissipate into the air. He closed the portal and braced himself at the bottom of the stairs. A second later, a tub full of objects came down and slammed into his waiting shoulders and chest. "OOmph." He grunted, picked up the tub and carrying it deeper into the subway base of operations. A little bit later, he put the tub down and rummaged through it for some objects, sticking up on the wall with tiny tails he slammed into various weakpoints. He was putting up paintings, rugs, things he was told were going to make the place look nice. He held a fairly large one and just looked at it, trying to understand what made it worth something. He even tilted his head and rotated it around, quizzically.

Zeru had headed back inside and gotten a bite to eat and something to drink when he heard urthus enter and came out of his room and saw urthus hanging pictured and whatnot,"not bad rugs"he said as he bit into his hotpocket.

Bella groaned as she leaned up from her makeshift bed. Her Leg was still in pain but it was better than before and her faster than normal healing would take care of the rest. Looking around she saw the details of her host's home and it was a bit different for a house. She didn't remember anything of what happened except for being almost crushed and then picked up so she decided to call out in a raspy voice from the smoke she inhaled most likely. "Hello." was all she could say before giving out a small cough.

Urthus looked over at Zeru. "Well, you told me to put stuff up. I don't get it. How does this bring life to a home? It's just a...what was it, painting?" He asked, his ears picking up a faint sound that sounded like a voice, but wasn't clear enough to make out.

"yeah didn't esxpect you to actually do it"zeru responded before turning to the direction of the voice"think our guest is awake shall we go meet her?zeru asked.

Bella felt like getting up but it started to hurt her leg so she stopped moving and waited to see if any heard her call.

"We had a guest? Since when?" Urthus replied, setting down the things he had in his hands. "Lead the way, if you know where they are."

"fine"he said before heading out to check on bella all the while eating his food.

Bella was starting to get a little impatient which led to one of her.. features popping up. Her cat like ears appeared over her head and she started to hear foot steps. I guess they are coming.

Urthus looked at Zeru with eyebrow raised behind his insidious mask. "You sure you know where we are going?"

"hey i'm not the one who got lost on his way to the toiled"zeru retorted.

Bella started to hear voices, they weren't far now and one of them sounded familiar. Like that guy she met at the shops.

"Only because I didn't know this place. Now I do." Urthus retorted back. "Besides, I only really need to know the computer room. Now seriously, are we almost there?"

"yes oh clueless one"zeru said as he entered the room bella was in"why good morning sleepyhead"he said to bella as he saw her awake.

Bella looked up to see Zeru and a armoured suit. She would have freaked out but she had some sense that he was friendly. "Hey Zeru, How did I get here and hello Armoured guy." She said in her raspy voice.

"Hello...human? You don't look human. Are you human? Or sound human. Least not a healthy human" Urthus said, stopping and tilting his head slightly, his arms crossing over his chest as he looked over their guest.

zeru waved and stood there watching the two and wondering how they'd interact while muching his still warm hotpoket.

"Well I'm as human as human can be only with some animal like abilities." She said with a grin. "Are you human?" She asked with a curious voice that was already getting better

"I'm not, actually. Though it's hard to tell right now. I am Frentiu Fanalan Asa Urthus. Call me Frank. Easier for both of us. I am Asadantsu, from Asadan." He looked over at Zeru. "This is when I say it's nice to meet you, right?"

'how should i know i was never one for such formalities"zeru said nonchalantly shrugging.

"Freiu Fanlan Asa Urthus." Bella said awkladly. "I don't like the name Frank sorry." She said with a grin. "I'll call you Urthus." She said properly. If it was one thing, she had good memory.

Urthus looked back and nodded. "Good enough. Though, it does hurt a bit when you can't pronounce my name right. But, Urthus works, though you sound like my boss when you say it. How'd you end up here?"

"our dear psychopath shadow brought her after some incident he got involved in"zeru added in.

"Shadow, whose shadow?" She asked before being pinged by memories of the fight she witnessed as the shadowy figured damaged things and blocked nets.

"Demony guy. Looks worse than me. Has sentient back hair that does things. Kinda hard to forget." Urthus replied.

"and is usally in some sort of trouble constantly"

"Oh." Bella said as she looked around the room. "Hey do you have a tv here?"

"if we do it's in a crate somewhere so if you two would excuse me i'm gonna get some sleep and if you need anything bella ask my companion,also keep an eye out for shadow and any trouble he might bring back"zeru said to them before leaving room and heading to his room.

Urthus turned his head to watch as Zeru left, before looking back at the human laying on the bed. "So what's your name?" He asked, still wondering how she got here.

Bella gave out a small yawn before answering while stretching her arms. "Names Bella-Rose Soul." She said to him before looking around the room. "Now seriously, do you have a TV?"

"Probably. I rarely ever use it. That's the...box that has shows and things on it, right? Moving pictures and sounds to go with them?" Urthus asked, making sure he was remembering things right. "I mostly do my research, so I don't know much about these things."

"Yes. It is. I was just wanting to see news for what happened before." She said a bit awkladly as she tried to get up again with some more sucess.

"Well. I think I know where it is. If you'd like to follow me." Urthus said, uncrossing his arms and stepping forward a half step. His radiation suit made a little clunk sound on the floor as he stepped, the soft sound echoing slightly.

As Bella placed her injured foot on the ground she quite frankly regretted doing such but soon the pain stopped and she tried to follow Urthus.

Urthus watched her face display pain. "Injured?" He inquired, tilting his head again.

"I did have an piece of sharpnel in my leg." She said in a pained voice, narrowing her eyes she decided to place both hands on the wall she was closest to and just hop along. "Can we get going." She asked a little impatiantly now

"If you need to you can climb onto my back. The spines there make for great handles and hooks. They weren't designed for humanoids, but I'm sure it can work." He said, turning and starting to walk slowly. "What is shrapnel?"

Bella almost immidently hoped on his back and held on. "Shrapnel is broken metal that has been exploded from where it was kept and gone into someones leg. Or at least that's the best description I have." She said to him while trying to arrage her self in a comtable persition on his armours or suits back

"So flying debris? What were you doing that involved that?" He asked, walking through the dimly lit tunnels to find the TV.

"I was taking a lovly stroll when yours truly, Shadow and Revenant came down the street avoiding nets and such and then BOOM! A missile hits and one of the milertary cars got sent flying right on top of me." She said with a trailer like voice as she climbed a little higher on his back.

He fidgeted a bit, getting used to the extra weight on his back. It felt like he was working again, equipment hanging on him so he could have his hands free to work. Only this was a sentient creature rather than a tool or test subject. "Sounds like an adventure. Wait, your truly? That sounds like an expression of affection in this strange human language."

"Oh come on can't you guys leave me alone?!" Revenant hollered up at the gunship, even as he ran. A few shots were fired from the gunship, but they missed the moving target, shots digging into the roof or air conditioning units. Need to lose them. Thoughts?

There is one gunship. Move between the buildings where it cannot follow, break line of sight.

Alright, let's just hope they don't start using drones. With that, James moved from the rooftops, swinging from each newly formed cable like a cheap knock-off of Spider-Man. The gunship, like Gestalt said, couldn't follow him as he swung between the streets, and it allowed him to get some distance until finally, he was in the clear.

"It was an advanture, eailer that day I met zeru too but what I meant by yours truely. Senice Shadow brought me here and I was metioning him I decideded to say those words. I don't why, maybe the human brain is werid." She said to her alein like friend. She was about to continue when she saw a room that had a very perticular Box belonging to a tv. "Over there!" she said pointing in the direction of the room that contained the box.

Urthus didnt turn his head to follow her point. His vision wasn't that limited. He veered their course and walked inside. "I...see? Your language is more complex than the Desushefi. At least it uses one word for every definition." Urthus added as he set her down on a rugged sofa.

"Yep your an alein." Bella said with a sarcastic tone while grabbing the box that contained the TV. "Is their any power plugs here?"

Urthus nodded and made an affirmative sound. "Somewhere around here there is. One moment." He walked around outside the little room, checking the walls and floor. "Here we go." He said, "Can you carry it over here?"

"Sure." Bella said but in truth she wasn't to sure. She decided to just push the box outside which in turn may have taken a while but she didn't have to suffer any pain.
